The hotel provides everything you need but stands above similar hotels by having the friendliest and most attentive staff you coul ask for. I have stayed there several times and is always my first choice in Houston because of the staff.

I expected someone to greet me at the reception desk. It wasn't late. But the person was hanging with guests on the pool deck. I should have recognized issues. Went to take a shower. Shower stall had long black hair all over the walls. I have short blond. Complained to the front desk. Said they'd take care of it. Gave me 1,000 pts. Come back that evening. Realize a ring is missing from my room. Go to take a shower. Still hair all over. Took pics. Talked to the front desk and emailed general manager. She seemed to think I was fibbing. I mentioned the picture I had sent. Gave me a refund on one night. Ignored the missing ring (my wedding band.) Seriously, watch out. Not up to the usual Hilton Honors standards. Stay at your own risk.

Room was so freakin cold and had a confortable sleep. Everything was affordable and had great internet service. Parking was harsh by their guest. SO far So good. We will come back to Texas at anytime whenever.

Run down, smells - Don’t stay here

This place is ghetto. Yes, it looks like they repainted everything, but you can smell a stench in the hotel and in the room I stayed in; hotel smelled moldy and the room smelled like cigarette smoke. The receptionist told me the elevator was broken so to go to the ends on the outside of the building to get in to use the stairs... well the key card access at the ends of the building was broken so I had to walk all the way back around and stopped to tell the receptionist thinking maybe this was new and she just said, “o, yeah, you have to go through in here (the inside)...” like we hadn’t JUST had the conversation that I was supposed to go outside! The front entry way inside always seemed to be wet and the roof has water stains. They have a smoking area RIGHT in front of the main entrance so of course it smells horrible. My room had an A/C in the living room area but nothing in the actual bedroom. So the bedroom was hot and the living room freezing. They had an option to use a fan in the room that did not help at all. I do think the staff were trying to be friendly but they were a bit... dismissive and useless or just didn’t care. No breakfast, does have a gym with old machines. No pool. Don’t do it, not worth it.

Candlewood Suites SAVED us!! Ms. Linda at the front was VERY WELCOMING, ACCOMMODATING & FUNNY! We left Quality Inn that was NOT UP to my standards of cleanliness and walked into a place that reminded me of home with LOTS of EXTRA PERKS & AMENITIES!! The lobby was clean & smelled cleaned, the staff were friendly & professional! The rooms were CLEAN, bed & pillows SUPER COMFORTABLE, WIFI, full frig, microwave, kitchenette, dishes, dishwasher...THE WORKS!! Laundry room, snacks, DVDs, gym and MORE! Candlewood Suites is my home away from home!! Thank you Ms. Linda!!
