Overall a nice hotel, with a nice reception area and a bar that wasn’t over priced. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean but we noted a few issues. Our mattress had a spring popping through and the bathroom was getting tired with mould to the sealant. Pressure was good out of the basin and bath taps but rubbish from the shower and on both shower heads scale caused problems with flow. We had a front facing ground floor room, slept with the window closed and heard no road noise. Room had tea/coffee making facilities, a trouser press and a hair dryer. Nothing was desperately wrong that would stop us returning if in the area again.
Quick trip to Huddersfield.

We only wanted somewhere close to home to visit, so decided to see what Huddersfield could show us! We stayed at this Hotel as it was close to the motorway network, but not too far to get into town as well. We arrived in the afternoon, plenty of parking, although very busy later on, as the Italian restaurant on the same site was very busy. We were checked in with no problems, and told about the hotels facilities and breakfast times. The hotel is only 2 floors, so not far to go up the stairs to our room, which was very clean, nice bed, bathroom, bath with a shower over, fluffy white towels and wash products provided. Usual facilities within the room, good flat screen television and tea and coffee making equipment with lovely biscuits, a very nice touch. We went into Huddersfield town to eat and do a bit of shopping and had a visit to Aspley basin, where the Huddersfield narrow canal starts, also had a nice walk along the broad canal banks too. We also had a drive up to Castle hill, the views of the surrounding area are quite spectacular. Also worth a visit is the Standedge Tunnel and Visitor centre, boat trips into the tunnel with very informative commentary and free parking at Marsden station, 15 minutes canal walk away. Disabled parking at the visitor centre.
Clean, convenient and comfortable.

The whole hotel was well presented as we're all the staff. It is well positioned near to M62 with large free car park. The breakfast was excellent, clearly cooked to order presented on hot plates by a delightful member of staff. Ask for room overlooking rear carpark as road is busy all night. We enjoyed our stay and will use again.
Extremely friendly staff & a beautiful hotel
