2nd visit to this lovely family run hotel,from arriving to leaving,even if was a day later that it should of been the lovely staff went out of their way to help me,being a single female traveller i felt at home at Summerlands,nothing was to much trouble,ate,drank and slept well,these guys are now life long friends,roll on next year to visit again.

Ignore the professional moaners on here, this hotel is really nice, friendly. We had two adjoining rooms. Limited electrical sockets, but that's why anyone with sense takes an adapter and cable extension plugs. We were self catering, but had continental buffet breakfast on first morning, which was plentiful. I don't know if some of the people on here are snails or just no sense of direction. The nearest small supermarket is Anixis about 7mins walk and another 10 mins from there to the beach. Two very big supermarkets another 5mins in each direction. Regular buses at Anixis to Lalyssos or Kremasti centre or if you want deserted rural beachTheologos. 2.50 Euros. Bus at Anixis to Rhodes old town 3 Euros. Taxi between 15 and 20 Euros. The pool was very big, lots of sunbeds and the staff very friendly. Rooms regularly cleaned, fresh towels and linen before we'd even used all the towels. The shower was fine, plenty of hot water. Few ants get in but no big deal, make friends with them. The beaches are pebble so take swim shoes. The food prices are high, often more expensive than UK but we will soon catch up and overtake as the cost of living soars. Water and drinks and beers best bought at one of the two big supermarkets, where you can get 4 big bottles water for price of 1 in some smaller shops and 4 or 6 pack of beers for almost price of one large beer at bar. If you go Rhodes Town make sure you ask for pint or small beer or you might end up with a stupid glass Wellington Boot for a stupid price. Refuse it. As ever, the local people are friendly, courteous and welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed time at Summerland. We went between 24th Aug to 7th Sept. It was quiet at the hotel, the way we like it, but we were told very busy couple of weeks earlier when full for many weeks. So choose your times. Thank you to everyone at Summerland

We spent there 7 nights, our expectations were quiet low due to other reviews and the average price of this hotel. I have decided to leave a review to give other people a bit more info. 1. Pool - it is quiet big however it is opened from 8 to 6 so usually when you are back from a trip it is already closed. 2. Breakfast - every day same food, poor quality cheese, very bad ham, tomato, cucumber, yoghurt, oats, cornflakes and toast and pita bread. On the third day you want to go somewhere else. 3. WiFi - we have travelled from uk (outside EU) so our data allowance was only 5gb, therefore we had no choice but to use hotel Wi-Fi… and it’s not working - signal is very bad, you can get it in reception ONLY, and once you are connected Wi-Fi drops every 2 minutes. 4. Shower - it is so small that no adult can take comfortable shower, no hot water which was not a problem for us due to hot weather but some people may not like it. 5. Room - very very basic, beds extremely uncomfortable - spring mattresses , probably 20 years old. 6. Hotel bar - we have arrived at 1am and all near shops were closed, bar in hotel closed at 00:00 so we did not expect to eat anything but there were some crisps on the shelf so we thought it is better than nothing , unfortunately it was not sold to us so we went to sleep hungry and thirsty, prices are crazy - you can expect higher prices at the hotel bar but these are outrageous and poor quality. 7. Room service - our towels were changed only once, we were forced to take out the rubbish ourselves as during our 7 nights stay our room was visited just once by service room. 8. Location - was not a big problem for us due to having a hired ATV, however it is worth to note that to the nearest shop it is at least 10 minutes walk and to get to the nearest beach it is at least 20 minutes walk. I did not expect highest standard, however I am sure that for the price I have paid I could find a much better hotel.

If you want quality for a reasonable price this is the place to be. Nice and friendly staff, a big swimming pool, and basic rooms with everything you need. Airconditioning is an option. A bar with a big choice of drinks and small meals. I would book again!

Just returned from summerland,was a nice hotel with a lovely,clean pool,however not many facilities at the hotel and no kettle until we asked,only one plug socket in the apartment and just two hobs,no grill or anything which was a bit disappointing as we was self catering.Not many food options at the hotel bar and no supermarket.It’s a good 15 minute walk to the nearest supermarket and a good 40 minute walk to either lalyssos or ixia to the bars and restaurants,and the beach.The location was just too far from everything,wouldn’t have been so bad if they had a supermarket on the hotel and more food options at the bar.staff were lovely,just a shame about the lack of facilities and location,taxi’s were expensive too so would be a good idea to provide free buses up to lalyssos or ixia from the hotel
