We stayed here for 3 night for business food was very nice not a lot of choice but what there was was very nice rooms really need upgrading cold radiators en-suite was not good Wi-Fi didn’t work bed was not good and you can hear the traffic overall pub downstairs is not bad but rooms seem to be forgotten

Lovely little place to stay. Large front room amazingly quiet even though on a main road and above a pub; superb double (triple?) glazing. Good bed, sound bathroom. Really good food, both mains and proper puddings. Very friendly, helpful, staff. A great place to stay, 15 minutes stroll to the hospital (one steepish hill that raises the heart rate!)

After arriving here I was pleasantly greeted by staff and shown to my room for the evening. The room was nice, fresh and a large shower which was very hot water :). Food here was divine would just come back for the dirty fries. The breakfast was very nice bacon cooked well and eggs where so fluffy :p The bed was comfortable and slept a dream. Would recommend and have recommended a friend to stay here as really good and value for money

From the moment we entered the pub, we were made to feel welcome. The drinks were delivered to the table. We were not rushed to order and had time to study the menu. The waitress was very efficient and friendly. The starters arrived fairly quickly after ordering and was very tasty. Once again not rushed in between courses. The main courses arrived and we're really tasty and well cooked. Too full for a dessert but we were not pressured to leave as in some restaurants. Good food at an excellent price. Thank you to all the staff.

Was invited here for a family get together was a bit worried due to past experience but was informed it was under new (I say new it’s been 4 years since going there) management now for a while. Can say was not disappointed. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly helpful staff. Was a big party of us and we did pre orders. We was sat and was served the majority and 3 was missing. Turns out uncle had forgot to add 3 and the staff couldn’t be more than helpful and told us it wouldn’t be a problem they would get the starters he missed and wouldn’t be long. Although it was our fault they made sure we would all still be catered for! Only niggle I had was I asked a pre order of peppercorn uncle again forgot when I asked the waitress for a sauce for steak she looked at my like I was a alien and replied well we have ketchup and Mayo? I had to laugh I meant anything like Diane sauce blue sauce etc. But the fact they was so lovely and nice it just made me giggle. The pub is beautiful and clean and you feel home away from home when with your family. Thanks guys.
