Nice hotel for a first time visit in Ilahbela!

This was my first time in Ilahbela and this beachfront hotel was the best choice in my opinion! I spent the first couple of days travelling solo and this hotel was perfectly situated within safe walking distance to the Old Town, many restaurants, pharmacy, bars and just steps from the beach (literally right outside the door). Check-in was smooth and the evening front desk gentleman with blonde hair (I wish I got his name to send thanks) was very helpful. I was grateful that he spoke English, which made my check-in process easier. He also provided good info on where to eat and local island information (like there is no Uber in Ilhabela, just taxis). I booked the VIP suite which faces the beach. I recommend these suites for the view and the rooms are less noisier than the others from the echos of other guests speaking and doors closing. Breakfast buffet had a good selection of items and the pool and hot tub were awesome to use! This hotel is one of the older hotels on the island but with that said, it has been renovated to make your stay comfortable. I just knocked off a star due to some bathroom issues in my suite upon checking in and the bar in the pool area was closed the entire weeks duration of my stay. Was told it does open, just not the specific day I asked, but it was still closed the days after. It would have been nice to enjoy a drink by the pool with such an breathtaking view of the sunset overlooking the beach. All in all, it was a great stay!

I had a great time, the hotel has great views, very close to everything, beach, restaurants....and such a beautiful location! I got a very comfortable room, lots of pillows. I only stayed for one night but wish I could have stayed longer.

Very below average

Other then the location in front of the beach there is not much positive to say about this property the staff was very average the rooms while comfortable were poorly maintainedThe bathrooms had bulbs not working the room at mold and fungus growing on some walls the beds sheets were mostly synthetic and not comfortable the cleaning service was definitely below average make sure to get a remodel room if you end up staying here
