Interesting stay
1. The hotel It’s decorated lovely, clean room, great shower, hard bed, flat pillow 2. Food We paid for bed and breakfast which includes Toast, eggs, bacon, cereal and yogurt This is the extent of the breakfast meant it is Buffett but lacks variety The food was okay 3. The location Absolutely the worst for young people, no buses, the train is 1 mile away, the only way to get around from this hotel is paying 50 euro for a taxi. The only way to get around is by renting a car. The beach is amazing clear, clean, & empty The hotel even has its own private route straight to the beach it’s wonderful 4. Staff Staff encouraged us to take their hotel taxi service, we had called the taxi service to ask for a ride back to the hotel from palermo, once the taxi man answered he said he was 50 minutes away so we told him no thank you and took another taxi that was in town. We arrived at the hotel and he had told reception to charge it to our room for not booking with him. He kept texting and harassing me and my partner telling us we must pay him. When we asked reception why we were being charged she said it’s not normal to call and not book, I started to become agitated so we fought back yelling at one another, she was rude and very unprofessional. Rolling her eyes at me and my partner. Eventually I said no and told her regardless of what she said I wasn’t paying so she dropped the charges. 5. A/C The room is incredibly hot and the a/c does absolutely nothing the whole 3 nights we were there we were sweating.
The worst hotel I ever stayed, and I been around ...
Good morning, My name is Tanya Manolova and we just returned from a holiday in Saracen hotel,I am very disappointed because someone from your staff has stolen mine golden bracelet from the safe in the room. On the 22/09 after we came back from the beach the safe wasn’t working (it wasn’t excepting the code) also the room cards were not working too.We went to reception asked for new card and when entered the room realised the safe wasn’t working either. A Mechanik was sent and he reset the safe so it was working again.I should of check everything in the safe but I didn’t. On the night of the 25/09 before our departure next morning after the last beach day I opened the safe to take everything and to put my Jelewery on to realise my golden bracelet is gone!!! Surely on your data base you can see who has entered the room and who can take it! Please act asap- police is already involved,Social media booking.com and local newspaper in Palermo also, you won’t stop me if I don’t get refund for my loss or my bracelet, I want an answer, I want my bracelet back, I am sure you know what’s happened in your hotel- it’s not the first time - we been told that by your staff?!! We came to enjoy a holiday and to support you in this difficult times and I ended with stollen bracelet. Awaiting response Tanya Manolova
Seaside holiday in Sicily
A seaside hotel located west of the city of Palermo (20 km) with 2 outdoors pools and a private beach. Each hotel room has a reserved beach umbrella for the duration of stay which means no need to hurry every morning to book an umbrella like in other such places. Food for lunch and dinner is of course Mediterranean and very tasty. Congratulations to the cooks! Congratulations also to the entertaining team who works hard all day long and night as well. Make sure to watch from the terrace the beautiful scenic sunset above the sea
Beautiful place and lovely staff
We stayed for 4 days and we really enjoyed our holiday. Staff always kind and professional, very good food and beautiful beach. We could stay only for few days and because the resort is very close to the airport, we could reach it in 15 minutes by the hotel' transfer and we avoided wasting time. So handy. Looking forward to go back there next year 😍
Perfect for the right family
This is a large resort that is still in the midst of off-season renovations. We stayed for several days as part of a small group. Our group leaders were fluent in Italian; the rest of us were not, but did not feel it was a problem. The staff are friendly and accommodating; most speak passable English. The room (320) was very large and clean, well air conditioned, with large bathroom with bidet and good water pressure. The terrace tiles need replacing, and although we had a nice sea view, directly underneath was a really dirty concrete roof. It did not spoil things for me, but might for another person. Clientele: The hotel was fully booked with extended Sicilian families. There were hundreds of children of all ages. There are no "adults only" areas as far as I could tell. Everyone was well behaved and all seemed really happy to be there. The beach was crowded bu nice, connected to hotel by underground tunnel. The signage should be better giving directions around the resort. The street along the beach is lined with restaurants if you wish to get some meals elsewhere. There are two pools, one at the sea side, one at the back, with beautiful views. The back one is scheduled to undergo renovation. Right now, there are no steps into that pool, just ladders. Plenty of areas to sunbathe with chaises. The back pool bar was really good, the front not so good. Food: The food at lunch and dinner was really good. Even if a particular dish does not LOOK good, try it anyway- it was all delicious, and a huge selection at lunch and dinner. The free wine was good. One night was " Sicilian " night- lots of music and fun. If you buy into the full board plan, you have your own reserved table every day for lunch and dinner. The breakfast was OK, but could be improved with a bigger selection, like include oatmeal and more meat , maybe an omelette station. Tons of eggplant and Octopus done every which way . The pasta dishes were amazing. We are New Yorkers, some native Italians and we all thought it was good. There is also an outdoor pizzeria that was very good. There is an excursion desk, taxis into Palermo, and plenty of family activities, plus a show every night. If you are an American family with small children wanting to relax at the beach for a few days before hitting smaller hotels elsewhere in Sicily, don't hesitate, your kids will have fun here. I only have one WARNING: The noise level here is VERY HIGH,all over, but especially in the dining room. If anyone in your party is hard of hearing or on the spectrum, or otherwise bothered by high noise level, do not stay here. The first day was startling. We eventually got used to the noise level and recognized the resort for what it is- a big family resort. It would however be really good if the renovations could include dialing down the dining area noise. My only major complaint is - NO WIFI IN ROOMS. I am told they will be fixing that. My minor complaint is: Having to use "bar cards" which are indistinguishable from the room cards- you have to put money on the card and use it that way. You also have to show the card (not charged) in order to get water, beer, coffee or soda at lunch and dinner, It had to be explained to us more than once- we were just- "why?". All in all a great place and I would go back if I was with my extended family group with kids.
