Outstanding hotel and service

Reviewed 22 march, 2023

We stayed for 4 nights at Ajwa Sultanahmet and the service at the hotel was 5 star! Kibra and everyone else from the staff at Reception to the cleaners that cleaned our rooms daily was amazing and extremely polite and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. Nothing was too much for the staff. They even answered our countless questions with a smile on their face.

A fabulous weekend at the perfectly located AJWA Sultanahmet in the Old City of Istanbul

Reviewed 20 march, 2023

We booked 4 days in the AJWA Sultanahmet in the old city of Istanbul based on other’s recommendations and were not disappointed. The superb service started prior to our arrival with the team providing information and advice on the old city and further afield. That service continued on our arrival with a fast and efficient check in and then being shown to our lovely room overlooking the Bosphorus. The bed was extremely comfortable and a selection of pillows were available. Decorated in a contemporary Islamic style, it was perfect as a room for a couple. We had breakfast every day, which was served as both a buffet and freshly cooked food to order. We also had one dinner and two room service meals. All were excellent. Note that no alcohol is served but their Sherbet’s are delicious. In terms of location, the hotel was 250m from the Cistern of Theodosius and about 10 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sofia. We were 6 minutes walking distance from the Grand Bazaar and around 15 minutes from the Spice Bazaar and bridge over the Bosphorus/ferry terminal. The nearest metro was 10 minutes walk away and the trams slightly closer. We used taxis, the metro and the funicular - all of which were extremely well priced. Throughout our stay, the staff were warm, friendly and courteous. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Overall, we had a fabulous stay at the AJWA Sultanahmet. It is a great place to see Istanbul from.

Great Hotel in the Best Part of Istanbul Especially if You Want to See It All

Reviewed 19 march, 2023

This hotel is amazing. The staff is great, super cool, really nice, and they speak excellent English. Not perfect English but they try hard. They are just SUPER NICE about everything and super helpful. They really take care of you here which is always important in an exotic and totally foreign (to the US POV) land. The Azerbaijani restaurant on the rooftop has excellent food and INSANE views (like every other review here says, definitely get the breakfast and start your day with such visual beauty). Of high note here are the concierge staff Kubra and Maria (who BOTH helped me out in so many ways - directions, local advice, and how to get around) and the shop manager Asye (who is super nice, gets stuff done, and will ship your stuff anywhere). The location of the AJWA hotel is spectacular by the way - you are within WALKING DISTANCE of the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cisterns, and the Grand Bazaar. The area around the hotel (called Sultanahmet, Fatih, and also Old City or Old Town) is a bit hilly with cobblestones so wear super comfortable shoes and watch for uneven pavement. All in all, in the final analysis, I would return here and stay at the AJWA when/if I return to Istanbul.

Best hotel and Istanbul experience you can get !

Reviewed 18 march, 2023

Absolutely amazing hotel that gives you the perfect Istanbul feeling you could not even imagine in your sweestest dreams. Extremely friendly and courteous staff, from reception and restaurant over to cleaning and hamam personell. Great service, kindness from the second you walk in. Respectful interaction not just to hotel guests but also the staff among themselves. Cleanliness in every part of the hotel. Gorgeous view to the marmary sea. Not a sign of uncomfort when we asked to have a Look at any other rooms. All the rooms were simply outstanding. Short distance to big sight seine places like Hagia Sophia. Best breakfast we ever had. So polite and calm and considering staff. Especially Ibrahim and Hussein took very good care of us. But as I said they are all great. They explained and showed us good spots and viewing points around, recommendations by locals are just the best. Daily, we were looking forward to having delicious breakfast with the perfect view and nice chats about the hotel, Turkey, turkish people and good food. Everything was perfectly arranged for breakfast and so fresh like it was just freshly picked. Most welcoming service we have had experienced. And we have been to quite a lot of places world wide. Generous People with good hearts work here. Big thumbs up for a wonderful Istanbul Experience by the Ajwa Hotel. We highly recommend to stay at Ajwa. We will come again!
