I can’t really write a review about this hotel as we never got to stay here. However whatever you read, it’s true.The service is shockingly poor. Arrived with a Portuguese couple at 1am and was told there wasn’t a room for either of us. The basement room which we had booked had no windows and they couldn’t upgrade us. We were then told the rooms had leaking pipes. We were sent to another hotel but could only stay 1 night before being sent on again, luckily to a far superior hotel. I don’t know which website they stole the photos from for their own...but do not be fooled... this isn’t the same hotel.
Very Helpful Staff
When I arrived I was told I was in an economy room with no windows and agreed to an upgrade by paying a bit more. I got a 4 person room and after 1 day, I was invited to change to a doudle which I was happy to do. In 3 full days, I was only able to get wifi for about 10 minutes. There was no mini bar as advertised and it took several minutes to turn the TV on and off. There was no English stations even though they advertise satellite TV. The downside was the noise coming from other rooms and when the toilet was flushed or someone showered from the rooms directly above, it sounded like hailstone on zinc,very loud and i heard if many times, daily
Save yourself and don’t book
This place is a total disaster. The rooms we booked were not the rooms seen online. We went to look at the rooms and were sent to a basement room which looked very dirty, dark and smelly. We then explained to the staff that this is not what we booked for. One of the staff members then takes us to what he called a suite in another hotel. We walked up and Down so many hills after reaching to the destination, he takes us into this old smelly building which smelled like mold with lights twitching. After all that walking the staff did not even have the right key. We then told him listen we are not staying here because you don’t book what people ask for. After a long flight from NY we were not expecting to experience this. My husband then contacts Hotwire, while that is happening the staff tells us to take our bags and leave the seats we were sitting infront of the hotel. I explained that the least they can do is let us rest on the chairs until we find another place to stay. One of the staff members then replies to me and says you don’t get special attention or accommodations because your from NY. They are RUDE and don’t care. They ripped us off for the hotel transport saying one price on the phone and another when we arrived there. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME!!!!
TERRIBLE HOTEL , SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND DONT BOOK
This hotel is horrible! , I was suppose to stay there for 2 nights but ended up leaving after 1 night as my friend and I could not bring ourselves to spend another night over there due to many reasons. The room we booked online was nothing like the one given to us which was a room in the basement with absolute no windows whatsoever in the room itself nor in the bathroom , there was an AC, however it was broken and the hotel staff didn’t seem that much bothered when we complained about it. In addition, there were endless bugs in sight in the room which had caused my friend, who has a huge phobia of insects and bugs, to literally sleep with clothes covering her entire face and body! All in all, I would advise you not to book this hotel as the staff are very unhelpful and unprofessional , service is below average & the rooms are not even on par of basic cleanliness.
Great location, otherwise totally avoidable
This quaint little hotel is located beautifully, within comfortable walking distance from some of the best tourist spots in Istanbul. That’s the only positive. Rest is purely sad. Lobbies are shabby. Lifts are rickety. Rooms are cramped. Taps are leaky. Beds are creaky. And ours was actually broken. When we asked for replacement, the morning staff simply forgot to do it. When we returned from a tiring day out, the night staff said he could not help. He lost his temper and banged his fist on the table and raised his voice at us. He was mad that we decided to bring this matter up during his beat!!! Worst of all, rates are not cheap. I could easily get a 5-star facility in Dubai for that money. In one word, pathetic!
