Excellent stay, comfortable with our 2-year-old

Reviewed 23 january, 2023

Everything was excellent, our stay really exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious, every detail was carefully thought. The mini bar section is beautiful and versatile. Free cookies that were waiting in our room made our 2-year old so super happy. The bed was super comfy. Our room was very quiet and had a small private terrace. Maybe it was a dark room because it was downstairs but we happily traded in light for quietness and comfort. Access to the Soho House club section was also great. The beautiful old palazzo, food and cocktails made our stay super fun. Thank you! Possibly the best hotel we stayed at in Istanbul, and we have tried a few!

Xmas stay cancelled at last minute

Reviewed 6 january, 2023

Had a 3 day stay over Xmas booked here but it was unilaterally cancelled either by booking.com or by the property (they blamed each other) supposedly due to a problem with my credit card. Organised different card but still couldn't be resolved and credit card company confirmed no problem with the card. Left me with a stressful last minute search for two hotels over Xmas.

Possibly the most beautiful Soho House of them all

Reviewed 28 october, 2022

Great city hotel. Rooms are superbly designed. Great gym and spa area. And the historic palace with its bars and terrace absolutely beautiful - they really got this one right in terms of matching the typical Soho style with the historic beauty of the palace. Definitely one of the best Soho Houses around the world. Istanbul is a great city but it can be exhausting at times - this is a great refuge into a world of great design and style while visiting this special city.

Lovely room but service awful in bar

Reviewed 16 october, 2022

We were delighted that our ‘Tiny’ room was far from tiny and also included a cute little terrace. However, we had a number of breakfasts and drinks in the bar and every time we wanted to order anything it took 10-15 mins to catch someone’s eye. I don’t know if they were understaffed or too cool to care but it was SO frustrating. They should let you order from your phone if they are so busy! Otherwise lovely location, Cecconi’s was fab and the old building is incredible. I would recommend if they can improve the bar experience!

House of Hypocrisy

Reviewed 13 october, 2022

Terrible service in every department. Guests are treated like they owe something to the staff. The rooms => old and hopelessly dirty (we had 3 different rooms throughout our stay) The staff => hypocrisy in every department (on almost every encounter I have experienced ill-concealed indifference The bars => mixology is not something people at SH Istanbul are familiar with (but they were really good with serving Turkish tea) The management => I have talked to the guy who runs this House about issues that I have experienced during my stay at the departure. He has promised to call me with his view on that. In the end he never returned. However, in a couple of days I received a call from a girl from Berlin who runs the membership in Europe saying that they wanted to decide if they should cancel my membership at Soho House. I said they should do so. They did, but collected the payment for the whole next month from my credit card before doing it.
