Recomiendo este sitio 100% Dan un muy buen cervico la recepcionista muy atenta y amable, estoy muy agradecido por el servicio Y los precios muy agradables y accesibles Todo muy bien, gracias a todo el personal. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

I have been an Operator / Manager/ Innkeeper / CSR for over 40 years in various venues. I have stayed in quite a few places over the years in traveling and moving across the USA However, this night that I spent was in a time or personal tragedy while traveling. Some friends of mine came together to assist me and they even booked me a room here at Southpoint Red Roof Inn PLUS I was absolutely AMAZED at the level of dedication and commitment the employees have made to make sure their guests stay in Excellence and Comfort! Everything that one could need or even think of was thought of! The thing is in the Hospitality business, if you are good at it... you have an Eye for staying ahead of what your guests might need. You must get a feel for their 'Presence' when they come in the door and approach you at the desk; and meet their expectations quickly and quietly. Customer Service, especially in this business and in these times is VERY challenging, and it's often hard to remain cool and calm under many pressure-filled situations! I want to commend the desk for their Professionalism and help. Their understanding for my situation and the grace they held! I have rarely seen rooms as clean, even in the 'hidden' places and again to have everything one could need right at hand just took so much off my already busy mind. I was able to simply breathe and relax and I didn't have to question or worry about anything!! Thanks to all who made a hard day one of the most comforting!
Too many issues to return to

My dad and I booked two nights at this hotel. We really just needed one, but booked two so that we could return to the room mid-day between his appointments at Mayo Clinic. I chose it because another reviewer raved about it during her Mayo stay. I travel a lot and when doing reviews try hard to review a place relative to its expense/luxury level. My expectations for our first Red Roof stay were not at all what I'd expect from a Hyatt. THE GOOD: Room was very quiet, lighting was excellent. Staff I met in hallways were friendly. Bed was firm enough that I did not have back pain the morning, yet it did not feel hard. There was not only a desk, but a separate little table with two chairs. It was nice to have that extra table top area. THE BAD: The floor was filthy. I have been in beat up rooms, I don't mind a scratch on a wall, dated decor, maybe a chipped tile in the bathroom, but this room was just gross. I seriously don't think it could have been swept/vacuumed in several weeks, not just a day. There was a bug in the bathtub (alive) and a coating of some type of grey "gravel like" debris all along the tub edge. I washed down the debris and the bug as soon as we got into the room. I also noticed how dirty the elevators were. Guess I never realized just how much work there is to keeping a hotel clean until I visited one that isn't. I also have never been in a hotel where there was a big plastic bag all around the mattress. It was crinkly and slept VERY HOT. No surprise! And finally, the pillows were just flat, "barely there" foam. Final deal breaker was the fact that the curtains barely covered the windows. They DID cover them, but not enough to keep out the light. At night, the bright outdoor lighting shone in all around the window. It wasn't dark at all. This would be easy to fix, just mount the curtain a few inches higher and have them drop a few inches lower and they would capture most of the light. I've also never been in a hotel/motel without a small bottle of shampoo and conditioner, or what's becoming more common now, large dispensers on the walls. But, all you get here is a single little envelope with about 1TBSP of combination shampoo/conditioner...for the room! We were in a double, so it was sold as a room for up to 4 guests. It also only came with 2 body towels. We had to ask for more, since most women require a towel to dry their hair. All of this added up to a very disappointing experience. I'm glad we did not have to spend a second night and we will be trying one of the many other places on the same street for our visit next month.

I've stayed her several times over the years, when I go to Florida for the Mayo Clinic and other medical services. This location has always been very clean and all kept. I always get a king bed with fridge and microwave so I can enjoy breakfast in my room and delicious leftovers from all the great restaurants that are near by. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is fabulous. It is just 15-20 minutes to downtown Jacksonville, 10-15 minutes to Mayo, 20-25 minutes to the beaches, and there is a huge shopping center just 15 minutes away. I usually stay for 10-21 days at a time so really appreciate the reasonable prices.
