we did not feel safe, the room was absolutely gross and the internet pictures made it look nice but in fact was very seedy and the rooms run down, Wyndham should be ashamed to have their name associated with this place. It was awful

I booked our reservation on line through my Wyndham Points site. I paid by credit card, and received a confirmation email. We are all set, right? WRONG!! When we arrived, the manager, Michele informed me that their internet was down and they could not confirm that I had paid, and requested I pay in cash. Do you see anything wrong with this?
When I refused to pay in cash she suggested I cancel our reservation and go somewhere else. Wyndham's cancellation policy??? All reservations must be cancelled 24 hours in advance or you will be charged one night stay plus tax.
I showed Michele "Ms Friendly" my confirmation email and she said they could not confirm the credit card used to make the reservation, since their internet was down and requested requested I provide them with another credit card and ID so she could make a copy of them.
Does this make sense to anyone? If they can't confirm the first credit card, how can they confirm the second card?
My wife walked in to see what the hold up was and when she questioned Michele's logic (to me, not to Michele) Michel ordered her out of the front entrance area.
Since there were no other rooms in town available and I had already paid, I gave her a second credit card and told her I was going to monitor both. Good thing I didn't give her cash.
To make matters worse, the "non smoking room" smelled like stale smoke and there were cigarette burn holes in the comforter. The burn holes were not as bad as the white milky stains on the comforter and the black hairs on the sheets. I hate to think what the white stains were.
i took pictures of all this, including the numerous stains all over the carpet and stains all over the lounging chair.
This by far the worse room I have ever stayed in. I will not be staying at another Wyndham chain Super 8 EVER!!!
Oh, and even though they say you are required to wear masks, neither Michele nor her assistant wore masks per the policy noted on the front entrance

Very old, bad bed. Mold. Do I need to say anymore. Very old. Bad bed. Mold in bathtub / shower. On the ceiling. Never again. Very old bad bed mold in bathtub/ shower and the ceiling. Do I need to say more

The breakfast wasnt much to choose from for a working man. Breakfast wasnt out early enough for shift workers. Bed Spread smelled like dirty feet. Tub was dirty. Bed was comfortable. Room was not set up to accommodate our 4 people. Staff was wonderful. We didnt get all or reward points added to our account. Pool was open! great parking room. A/C worked good

Hotel located off major highway with easy access to lobby & parking lot. Nice & helpful staff. Mexican restaurant next door, no breakfast. For our weeknight stay, the area was quiet, no noise disruptions from neighboring rooms nor outside guests. Large room with two double beds, not queen but adequate. Fridge, microwave, coffee pot & small table with chairs. Adequate tv channels including some premium channels. Small breakfast, cereal, instant oatmeal, waffles, breakfast breads, yogurt, etc. Room was clean but hot water took a long time to get really hot.
