Avoid uBliss Suites @ 70 Greene -- filthy, damaged units without support

For the price, uBliss Suites Jersey City is one of the worst experiences I've ever had for accommodation.
- the unit was absolutely filthy, with fresh debris lying on counters, dust balls on the floors, and human hair stuck to the walls and hanging from clothes hangers
- the unit is heavily damaged, with significant gashes on the floors, marks all over the walls, badly stained couch, broken floorboards, and inexplicably left duct tape on the windows. A renter leaving a place like this would lose his whole security deposit, yet it's a "luxury" rental?
- The pull-out couch, which was requested to be made up, not only was not made up, but there were no pillows, and only one sheet with a large brown stain on it
- no wifi matching the details on the coffee table, and extra unplugged routers left in the unit
9 full hours after expressing our frustration to management, we got a call and email, both of which were unapologetic. They sent us new router instructions (which would only work for a minute before disconnecting), and a "cleaning lady fixed the bed," i.e., she left two pillowcases in our room (though still no pillows or clean sheets!). Other issues were not acknowledged or remedied.
I used to live in the sister building, so I booked thinking I knew what to expect, but this was negligent and criminal for what they charge.

To start. The concierge did not have a clue about anything. You ask them a question and come back every time with ‘I don’t know ‘ . You have to wait for at least 5 minutes for one of four lifts as there are long queues. Parking is 11 rollers an hour or 26 per day. The room needed redecorating and replacement furniture. The coffee was damaged as was a door. There was no oven trays or source pans.
But the buildings saving grace was the view Just amazing skyline and watching a living canvas.
plastic water pipes burst flooding many rooms without warning. Danger to all. Mold in walls.

You are better off if you avoid this place. Pipes burst and a lack of security with bad elevators. The management is in the business of selling your stuff. They have the attitude that it is your fault. Very over priced and the dangers are not disclosed.
Don't risk booking here

We made a booking directly on their website and the booking was paid and confirmed. Two days before our stay we received an email informing us that our stay was cancelled due to "unforeseeable circumstances". To date there is still no explanation for this and we had to search for alternative accommodation over New Years in New York. After several emails and phone calls requesting a refund, we eventually received it after more than 3 weeks of the cancellation. Also be aware of the hidden cleaning fee of $89.
Cumbersome booking process...

I booked via hotels.com and I was told that I'd need to pay during check-in. But then I was contacted by 'All City Corporate' the very next day asking me to pay up or else they could not guarantee the reservation. This is when I learned about $89 cleaning charge (which is ok by me). Then, I received an email on the day of check-in asking me to bring my ID (reasonable request) and the credit-card that I had used to pay...and they told me I may not be able to check-in otherwise. I say, this is too much hassle.
But I must say, the facilities are nice, quiet and pretty good. However they did not leave a fob to enter the Gym, so I had go down to the security desk every-time I had to go to the Gym.
1 more thing - somebody entered the room when I was not there and replaced the bulbs (good), but left some trash (wrappers, screws etc) on the floor !!
