Amazing family time at an exceptional hotel.

Amazing time. Hotel was at low capacity during majority of our stay. Room in the Hokupaa tower was beautiful and clean. The Lanai was exceptional and staff super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend. The pool was great with a fun slide. As others have said the pool is cold. Take a minute to get used too. Refreshing when it’s so hot though. The ocean feels much warmer. Food and drinks by pool and bar area were fantastic. Tell the bartenders what you like and they make some creative drinks. The Saturday before we left an influx of people arrived and hotel got super busy. Was harder finding seats at the pool, bar area, and Starbucks had a line. If you come to any hotel thinking you should get special treatment because of your “status” you are going to have a bad time. It’s Hawaii, relax and enjoy it.
Wonderful Thanksgiving Week

We have stayed at the Westin Maui Resort & Spa many times over the years but this was our first visit since Thanksgiving 2019. This year's stay was for 8 nights. A few years back, the hotel was feeling a bit "tired" and renovations had begun. We are pleased to report that the place now looks and feels great! All of the public areas are now very fresh/new looking - and currently have extensive, beautiful holiday decorations. Our room was nice - average size, typical layout, good A/C and TV. However, the sliding glass doors and balcony provided an incredible view overlooking the pool area and then the Pacific and the islands of Lanai and Molokai - breathtaking every time that we looked out, even after 8 days. The hotel appeared to be quite full for Thanksgiving week but we were always able to find desirable loungers at the pool. The lobby area includes several shops, a (usually crowded) Starbucks, and several restaurants of varying price ranges. We had very enjoyable drinks and dinner at Hale Moʻolelo (medium/reasonably priced) - our table right along the beach-walk, while watching the sunset, made the event really special. Service from all of the staff was excellent throughout the week - everywhere, all of the time. A huge Mahalo! to Michelle De Guzman for her tremendous help and friendship throughout the week. We also received outstanding front desk service from U'ilani and Lori. We are counting the days to next year's Thanksgiving return!

Great family resort. So many extras! Multiple pools, sandy beaches, Starbucks, restaurants, waterfalls, spa, brunch & dinner cruises, snorkeling, kayaks, live music, daily conch calls, and access to an amazing golf course! Pool and beach side food & beverage service. Lots of friendly concierges to help book them all! Amazing views from most anywhere on the resort. Even the Mountain View rooms were incredible! Very clean, very friendly. 10 minutes from Lahaina, 45 min from the airport. If you are going to do Maui, definitely consider this resort! Will be back!
Loved this hotel for many reasons

Beautiful hotel with grounds that are fun to wander. The room was very nice, the staff very friendly, with several restaurant options. The hotel is a great location on the beach, next door to a lovely outdoor mall with great shops and restaurants. Our only criticism is that they charge for absolutely every extra, for example beach chairs were an added cost, and the pool cabanas instead of being on a first come basis were also an additional cost. Nevertheless we would highly recommend, just come knowing that.
Amazing stay and recommended

My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights during my trip to Maui. Thanks to Gregg Lundberg, the general manager and Michelle De Guzman, the director of front office to upgrade our room to a Hokupa’a premium ocean larger guest room with a Lanai access that make our trip amazing. I would say during our trip to 3 islands, this hotel offered the best services. All the staffs remembered us during our stay both my name and my partner. From the check-in with Gladee Kaiwi. She was the best receptionist I had ever met in my entire life during my past travel. She also a receptionist at Lanai lounge. She remembered us from checked-in until we checked-out and gave us a hug during our checked-out as we left the hotel. She took care of us very well. Even when we moved to other islands, my partner kept mentioning her and how the other hotels were not very welcoming as the one in Maui after the treatment from the staffs at Westin Maui resort and Spa. The next one is Jacob that welcomed us to the hotel and gave us the flower necklace during the checked-in. As the room was not cleaned yet during the checked-in, we must had to wait and gave a Lanai access which was very cool. The Lanai lounge has a cool infinity pool, snacks, and drinks. The Lanai lounge also offered a breakfast and a dinner daily. The food was excellent as my partner and I love them. The portion was small, but the food was delicious like lamb chop, acai bowl, tiramisu, etc. My partner loved the Taro chips a lot that we could grab at the Lanai lounge. In Lanai lounge, the treatment was awesome especially from Gladee Kaiwi who also the one checked us in, Valerie, and Shauna. They treated us very well everyday and remembered us. They also asked us to eat as much as we want during the breakfast and dinner. When our room was ready, we went to our room. The room was opened with the bracelet key that they gave during the checked-in. The housekeeping lady, Gigi remembered me from checked-in until checked-out. Even though we had never requested to clean our room, Gigi always leave a card that she was trying to clean our room and offered cleaned towels changed. The room was spacious for two people and very clean. The view from the room was awesome with a pool and ocean view. I really recommend choosing an ocean view for the stay. The hotels gave a complimentary bag and two free reusable bottles to not waste one-time used bottle (environment friendly). The hotels had lots of water refill stations everywhere. The pool was amazing, the pool and beach chair was sanitized and labelled for guests and the location of the hotels near most activities except road to hana. The parking was easy, can choose either self or valet parking. I love the hotels, I think they are very clean, nice staffs, and beautiful pools and environment. The beach access was very easy and there are lots of restaurants nearby and the mall just next to this hotel, the whaler’s village. I did not find anything negative during our stay and really would recommend staying here knowing that this hotel had one of the best treatments from the staffs. Inside the hotel, also has Starbucks and some activities during the stay such as treadmill, yoga, etc. Originally, I was confused to either stay at Marriott Wailea or the Westin Maui resort and spa. Let me tell you that near this hotel, most of the activities is just in front of the whaler’s village or Lahaina that make it comfortable to stay here rather than Marriott Wailea. It is very fortunate that I decided to stay here instead of Wailea. Thanks again for all the staffs that treated us very well during our stay and for sure, we will return to this hotel in future visit to Maui.
