sooo much wrong with this place

I like to start a review, especially a negative one, with any positives I found, but in this case it is difficult. The check in clerk, a nice man, was very cordial and helpful. One of the 2 queen beds was comfortable. That is about it.
I booked a 2 queen room online for 3 nights. When I realized there was no elevator in this Quality Inn, I contacted the front desk, spoke to Sam (who turned out to be the Assistant Manager of the hotel) and requested a main floor room as I culd not carry stuff up a flight of stairs. He was very helpful and assured that I would get a main floor room. But, when I arrived, I was put on a room one flight up from the main. (They have their 1st floor in the basement, 2nd on main, etc.) Nothing else was available and I would not be able to cancel without a fee so we took the room. The idea of having the room for 3 nights was to avoid having to change places so we stayed.
When I booked they advertised "buffet breakfast" and we had had versions of this in our travels dispite the pandemic so I was surprised at the pathetic "grab and go" breakfast of a small muffin, cheese & bacon-bit flat bread and a disgusting burrito.
We finally complained when, sitting at the pool, there was no shade--only one broken umbrella. Sam and the manager, Sonny, responded to our complaints by coming to the pool and saying there was notheing they could do. It was apparant they cared little about our concerns including asking why we had to put up with the noise, smell and parking difficulties of the drive and parking lot beig resurfaced in the middle of peak tourist season.
However, my major concern was that the staff routinely put a rock in the door by the pool to keep it propped open--a clear lack of security.
I did confront Sam about his previous guarantee to give me a 1st floor room and he had no recolection of this. I can only surmise they not only run a crummy business but are dishonest as well.
Suffice to say, for the remainder of our trip, my 11 year old granddaughter said NOOO, please, if it seemed we were to consider another Quality Inn!. I agree with her.

Very disappointed, service was good, breakfast was fine. location good, place needs updated spend alittle more theres other hotels down the street . Room 218 has big gap all the way down the side of door right by the exit door you can see into the room I reported it asked for another room I made my reservation way ahead told no extra room except one with a small bed my husband and i took it we had been driving 10 hours needed to get sleep never even offered to discount the room for the difference they turned right around and rented that room out again to some women I seen her review on Expedia.com it was a security risk because exit door right by the room stayed open all night because they were having work on front of hotel , The room they gave us had a chair that was ready to fall apart We will never stay again.
Hotel’s foundation is sinking!!!

This hotel is in sorry shape. I am no expert, but it looks to me like there is a major problem with the hotel’s foundation. The floors and walls are very crooked (our room was practically on a ramp), and cracks around the doors and windows are evident throughout. There is also a lot of renovation in the front of the building, which was not mentioned in the website when we booked. Because of the construction in the front of the building and the futile attempts to patch up cracks in the drywall, my wife had an episode of asthma which really through a wrench in our plans to visit Zion National Park. I am disappointed that they would not mention that the hotel was under renovation or that their building had foundation problems in their website. While I am sure the renovation will be completed soon, I doubt the damage to the foundation could ever be fixed.
On top of that, the AC unit in our room on the third floor did not cool properly but at least the staff allowed us to change rooms when we discovered this. The room on the first floor did have a better AC unit thankfully.

Memorial Day weekend, Friday Evening. My husband thought he made reservations in Kanab, Utah. But, he could not find them😵
So we pulled into Quality Inn. Amazingly they had one room left and it did not cost us an arm/leg and was the King Suite😀. The bed was amazing! The sheets felt like silk and very comfortable. Great shower. The breakfast was very nice with waffles...lots of choices. Very Grateful to Quality Inn.

Unless you like sleeping in basement don't book this place. All the rooms are in basement, only few upstairs. Front desk was unprofessional, and rude. The place itself is nice sounded by mountains, but I would rather camp. Our refrigerator and under our refrigerator was dirty, and staff wouldn't do anything about it. I would never stay here again. Not worth the money,
