Just amazing! Perfection!

Reading some of these reviews I can only assume they went to the wrong island! My wife and I have waited almost 5 years for our Honeymoon due to COVID and we wanted to make sure we had the absolute best. Kandima did not disappoint one bit. We were anxious (mainly off the back of the negative reviews we were reading) but I can only say I have no idea where these people visited. Our experience was exceptional on EVERY level. We had a Sunset Aqua villa with swirl pool. It was just perfect for us. It has a stunning outlook, with private space and we spent a lot of our time here. From our experience of all inclusive, we found the only thing we had to pay for was the shops and the live fish at sea dragon and room service. We booked with BA and I think some companies do not have the option of Premium all inclusive so check if you are booking as the prices are very expensive if you pay as you go. The food was incredible, everywhere we went the staff everywhere were so polite and nothing seemed too much. My wife collapsed one night and within 30 seconds there were at least 3 staff around us helping and calling the doctors. The medical staff were also exceptional and took great care of my wife. I wish I remembered all their names but Dr Heidi stood out and really made us feel at ease so we could enjoy the rest of our holiday. My wife is gutted she didn’t get a chance to say thank you before we left. Special mention to Mizy at the Deli. She took time to get to know us and it felt so personable. My wife is on the autistic spectrum and was unable to wear a mask snd Mizy was very kind to her, and interested to know more about her situation. It meant alot to my wife and she really took to Mizy. There were so many great staff everywhere, Smoke at lunch is an ideal place to sit and enjoy the BBQ food and salad bar which again, surprise surprise was amazing! The island itself was incredible too. White sand beaches and clear water, better in real life than any picture I had seen! Staff cleaning and sweeping everywhere and taking real pride in where they work. If you’re thinking of booking this hotel, just do it! Ignore the negative reviews and just get excited about your time in paradise!


The best resort ever!

We spent 7 days at Kandima Maldives.It was an experience of a lifetime. From the Ocean Villa, the personnel, the food, the service. Excellent resort, the best of the best. On our last evening, we had dinner at the Sea Dragon. It was beyond beautiful. The food was excellent. I need to mention Ravi, he completed this amazing evening with excellent service, professional and informative. An asset to any team.


Great value for money!

We stayed here for 7 days in Jan 2022. It is a good resort without being excellent. Certainly very good value for money. The positives are - mostly good service - pristine waters - reasonable costs for spa and water sports - good evening entertainment options - excellent food, with asian options - multiple restaurants - excellent communication, particularly Anelive The negatives were - have to wait 15-20 mins at times for the island bus to go to the main pool and restaurant area - AC in rooms not excellent We would return here.


Excellent chefs and catering staff!

My wife and I spent a week in one of the ocean villas for our honeymoon. The accommodation and resort/island both speak for themselves. The best part of our stay was the service which we received from all the Kandima staff (from every department). An important aspect for us was the food and catering as my wife is coeliac (celiac). Therefore, she required completely gluten free food. The catering seniors and chefs accommodated us with absolute ease. They went above and beyond, and offered my wife a variety of freshly made gluten free options for every meal. This included pancakes, muffins, chips (fried separately from gluten foods), pizzas (best gluten free pizza we have had to date), pastas and various specially made deserts. The chefs were extremely knowledgeable about cross contamination of gluten. We felt completely at ease and have learnt a great deal from each of them. A special thank you must go to the following catering team members; Janaka (Flavours head chef), Manoj (Zest head chef), Imran (head pastry chef), Sanjay (Azzure head chef), Nasim (Catering operations manager) and Ravi (Sea Dragon manager).


Life-changing experience

It was our best getaway, better than our honeymoon. Usually, any hotel we stay had some annoying issues. With Kandima, everything was top-notch. First of all, Aqua Villa with Swirl Pool - one of the best villas at the property, I was able to encounter stingrays & a nest of yellow fish nearby with rented snorkel equipment. It's also not so deep there, so my wife wasn't scared & had fun snorkeling. Some guests complain about a long flight from Male - but the flight itself is worth it! You will see many beautiful islands in the sky. We recommend booking Seaplane Transfer, which includes a VIP lounge with a/c in case of minor delays. We were happy with the buffet at Zest, even more than all of the other restaurants - Sea Dragon, Azure & Smoked. By the way, the first two were almost full when we arrived - so a bit of good advice is to book them ahead during the arrival at the hotel. The staff was nice, Umit explained everything during the welcoming party with fresh juice, Cedric was happy to gather feedback during the small party with staff one day before the departure. We had no problems with appliances, conditioners worked pretty well, the only issue was with TV Delivery Menu - but we couldn't care less about a TV in such a marvelous place. The same thing regarding the Wi-Fi - of course, it's slower than on the continent, but it was enough to share the photos & videos with our friends. The island is longer than the usual options at the Maldives, which might be tough for some people, but we like to walk around in general, explore the different locations, including Kakuni Point, Coconut Grove & neighboring island.
