Romantic Weekend
Staff were extremely nice. English wasn't really any issue. Stayed in a 2 room apartment. Charming and quite comfortable. Spa part of the package was fair, nothing extravagant. Location was good, close to the main canal that runs through town. Food overall again was fair, but the romantic dinner included was outstanding.
Very nice stay
A beautiful hotel located in the center or Karlovy Vary. I can recommend tasteful breakfast. The welness in the last floor is marvellous. The staff was always very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and very sunny.
Wonderful Hotel in Karlovy Vary
This is a wonderful hotel, really. Everything was lovely. The room is cozy and warm, with a balcony, and homely decoration - the interiors gilded and impressive, and the service outstanding. The fellow at reception was really helpful when we asked questions, and they really went out of their way to do as much as they could. I was impressed with the stringent cleanliness - hand sanitizer, cleaning, a heat-scan at check in - to make sure everything was as safe as could be. I will certainly be back here again in future (and recommend Le Marche, a superb little French restaurant just down the street from the hotel for outstanding cuisine). I'd give this place 5 stars, rather than 4, to be honest. You should stay here, you won't regret it.
Extremely Satisfied
We were extremely satisfied! The interier was magical and charmy! Hotel was lokalated in centre, so everything was so close! Employees were very nice, profesional. The restaurant was also very delicious! So my husband and I really recommend!! :-)
Second Stay was as Great as the First
How nice to go back to a hotel that you love and find it exactly as you left it! They're keeping the property well maintained and I was amazed to find many of the staff from several years ago there. It can't be easy to keep a property up and the staff happy but the Karlsbad Grande Madonna did both. Its interesting being an American in KV as most visitors speak Russian, German or Czech. This was my 4th visit to KV in 25 years and each time has been a visual sensory delight with all their stunning pastel architecture and compact walkable town. Be sure to go to a performance at the city's opera house, it has amazing acoustics and is so opulent. I love that so few speak English as I'm there to relax and love the quiet. The staff is well trained and so thoughtful. I departed early in the morning before the kitchen was open and they had a picnic lunch packed and waiting for me at check-out. This is a great hotel if you don't care about extra amenities like a fitness center or pool. There's other places in town that you can work out or swim. For the price and great location, the Grande Madonna is superb.
