The bathroom floor was dirty and sticky. The A/C couldn't cool the room to 72. We left after 20 minutes, but the Hotel charged us twice for the room. Go anywhere else. I don't see why Marriot allows this Hotel to be in their system.

The worst experience. We had four rooms. One Room was filthy, another room had a broken bathroom light in broken fridge and another room smelled like urine. The spa was supposed to be working and it did not. Breakfast is a drag, limited and the same every day. The lobby even had a homeless drunk hanging out. Not a good hotel.
Run, don't walk, away!

Although seeming recently renovated there wasn't much thought put into it. There are no outlets at the desk, desk chair wouldn't go up (stuck in lowest position).
Asked front desk to swap out chair with one from another room, couldn't do it due to pandemic was the reason given. No breakfast offered (due to the pandemic again the reason, meanwhile SpringHill Suites has at least a grab and go bag, Holiday Inn express has their full offering although it is to go.)
Desperately Needs Repair and Attention to Cleanliness!
Opinión escrita el 17 de Abril de 2020
I know it’s not fair to review hotels right now because times are tough. However, my following comments don’t just specifically relate to this time of the coronavirus and the affected low vacancy rate…but my review below pertains to a stay that could have taken place anytime at the Fairfield Inn Kennewick.
We came here for an overnight stay (good thing it was only short term!) on our way home to Seattle after a long journey driving back from Arizona. Overall, the location is convenient, near a shopping mall and in the main commercial part of town. Even though it’s part of the Marriott group and rated two-stars, expect a definite no-frills experience in a very dated building.
In summary, our room was in ill-repair and screamed for cleanliness (very unacceptable during the time of coronavirus...not to mention anytime!!
We entered a room with very dated décor and unlike what we were told on the website, there was NO microwave in the room. We were lucky that vacancy was at its low and front desk was able to supply us with one from another room. Frankly, I don’t see where they would have placed a permanent microwave in the room with the limited desk space. It was very tight in there—and note that the mini-fridge needs to be switched on inside and takes time for it to cool before you can use it. When it finally does, it only stays at a cooler temperature for just 2 hours and turns off! Our milk was lukewarm by the time morning arrived. That...was not “cool”.
The bathroom was very old, pooly lit and in an awful state of disrepair:
--The toilet flush handle fell out: one had to be very delicate with it to flush. Oh yes, and there was a disgusting ring around the toilet when we first walked in!
--The metal frame around the plastic door stopper on the wall (which prevents the door knob from marking up the wall) was just hanging precariously when we arrived…and eventually fell off.
--The towels definitely needed a strong bleach/disinfecting job: they reeked like something you’d get from a gym’s towel service, smelling of sweat and perfume from the last user…or users!
--There was no bath mat or skid-proof stickers in the tub—so please exercise precaution (unless you have some attorney skills in your blood and want to finagle some sort of lawsuit with the establishment!)
Pray for Cleanliness!
The ring around the toilet and dirty, smelly towels were not the end of our experience—most disgusting was finding excessive hair all over the room's carpet (see attached images). Not sure if it’s pet or human, but this was so unacceptable and very unhygienic!
This repulsive display was the nail in the coffin--again, not just during a time of COVID-19, but this is sickening and appalling anytime, especially for an accommodation in the Marriott family. I would hope that there would be some standards to upkeep!
I can’t provide feedback on the common areas as there was no breakfast buffet and the lobby, business center, pool/hot tub and fitness center were closed. Maybe this is a good thing because who knows what else we’d find disturbingly unclean in those areas?!
During a time of social distancing, they placed the already very low guest count all on the main floor. I did not like knowing that there were neighbors through thin walls on both sides of us (hearing a man urinate is not appreciated, thank you very much!). There were times when we, among the other guests, almost ran into each other in the tight hallway. I know this arrangement is probably convenient for the cleaning staff, but it sure wasn’t safe for guests.
Here’s to hoping for better times in the world…and for the Fairfield Inn Kennewick! Sure, we remember that it’s only rated two-stars, but know that first impressions count and you’ve many other choices in same caliber and area, including the Comfort Inn, Red Lion, and Quality Inn…all within walking distance. And hopefully with more cleanliness.
Constant remodel, leaking shower, no microwave, unresponsive staff
Opinión escrita el 9 de Abril de 2020
I have stayed here before and the remodel is just never done. My shower leaked all over the floor, no microwave in room, thin walls so heard a lot of noise. Is there anyone at the front desk... ever? Tried half a dozen times to resolve a billing issue and no reply at all. One of the worst Fairfield's I have stayed at in memory and I log 100 nights in hotels a year. This is a Motel 6 or Super 8 with the wrong sign out front. AVOID this property.
