Good Room, Disappointing Breakfast
Reviewed 27 june, 2021
There was no elevator and my room was the furthest possible room on the second floor. It was a long walk, but the room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint in the room was the shower curtain needed to be replaced because the bottom was stained pink. The breakfast was disappointing. The only hot food served was Belgium waffles. There were breakfast sandwiches available frozen that you could heat up in the microwaves. The tables were sticky and dirty. I had to tell the hotel clerk they needed to be wiped down.

This is nasty hotel. Bed sheets where dirty and bed looked like it had been slept in. Room had a weird smell. Drop of blood on side of tub. Clerk was rude. Had 2 rooms that was supposed to be joining, clerk said got there to late and they did not have any joining rooms left. Do not stay here.

10/7/20 My family member and I were passing through for a road trip and reserved a room in this hotel in Grayson, KY. The reviews were adequate, so I thought nothing of it. When my family member and I arrived, the facility was undergoing maintenance in its parking lot, which is fine and was no problem. Perhaps they were also undergoing maintenance in their rooms, too, which may explain the unfortunate state of our room. The first room we were given was dirty, the bedsheets had not been changed and there were still sock linens clinging onto the sheets underneath the cover from where another guest slept. The headboard was dirty and uncleaned, but worst of all, the blanket had been tucked into the bed so as to give off the impression that it had been cleaned. The next room we were given after asking for a new one was clean, though the air conditioner was blowing out hot air and below it was wet. The room was stifling. Both of these rooms were on the second floor, which could’ve been under maintenance (?). We didn’t want to try our luck again, so we found a different hotel after these happenings. This in no way reflects the staff member at the front desk, who was very polite, accommodating, and apologetic when we informed her about the state of our rooms. I understand if the hotel was understaffed or undermaintained, I don’t expect a red carpet to be laid out in front of me, and as an employee at a hotel, I understand that you can’t be everywhere at once. An air conditioner not working is minor and can be fixed or taken care of by moving to a different room, but housekeeping leaving a dirty bed and dirty sheets and then deceptively tucking in the sheets and fluffing the pillows is inexcusable. I hope my review can inspire some changes to be made in the hotel and that no one gets the same kind of service I did. Maybe it was just a bad day for the staff, or maybe they’re too understaffed. Either way, it was a bad experience.

Motel was nice but room was not as clean as it should have been. Had spilt some water on the tiled area and used a towel to dry and the towel ended up filthy. The beds were very comfortable for a great nights sleep.
