Convenient hotel on the beach of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Roy was more than adequate but not fancy. Room was clean, comfortable, and well furnished. Free breakfast was available each morning and the food was much better than is often found. Breakfast menu changed daily. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel was conveniently located to many of the attractions on the Outer Banks.

We stayed three nights in mid-October. Weather was perfect for swimming and sightseeing. Highs in mid-70s. We appreciated staying right on the beach, the trail to the beach was exceptionally well maintained and there were showers to wash the sand off. Despite arriving very late attendant gave us a warm welcome, addressed me by name. Ensured that we knew everything about the hotel. Our room was very clean, my children kept commenting how nice our room smelled. We needed our hairdryer replaced due to the plug being broken and it was done within 10 minutes of calling. You can tell the owners and staff care a lot about the facility as everything was neat and well kept. We saw many staff members everyday out and about keeping everything neat and tidy, trash cans never filled up and the grounds were immaculate. Every staff member we saw was friendly and wished us a nice day. Breakfast was better than you would expect for a hotel breakfast with hot items daily. The outside patio is a nice place to eat, especially considering Covid. We will definitely choose to stay here again when we return!
Good hotel, great location

Had a 'dune view' room on second floor. Room was okay, even with four of us in it. Choose the option at check-in to not have housekeeping every day, so we got our own towels and soap etc. from the front desk. Breakfast was okay, fresh waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, bagels, juice, mike coffee and more. All of us found something to eat. Location is great, very short walk to beach, short drives to lots of attractions. Third time we have stayed here in 10+ years and it fits us very well.
Excellent , clean stay on the beach

I got the last booking at this hotel last week of September. Very happy with my stay. Property is right on beach access, though only top two floors facing ocean front have an ocean view. My room is a bit old but very clean! Staff was excellent and so helpful with questions. The breakfast was awful, though. I'd recommend definitely going out if you want decent. I've had continental breakfast many times but this wasn't fresh.

By far the worse place I’ve ever stayed! We were promised ocean front but when we arrived all they had was ground floor overlooking the parking lot! Every day they said they’d move us! They NEVER did! The place is run down and filthy! The pool was covered in a thick oil floating on the surface. There are ZERO ocean views unless you are in the top floor in the “towers” (4th floor like old holiday inn). The noise is horrible! Paper thin walls and I called the front desk for assistance to sleep three nights in a row. They gave me the non-emergency police number!!!!!! We finally checked out early and went yo another facility! Anything was better then that hell hole! I’m praying this allows me to attach pictures as we had big gobs of bright red hair at our doorway upon checkin and filth caked at our tub. They never replenished any soap or supplies after checking in. GREEN moldy stinky carpet from the 70’s! Horribly outdated and filthy!
