This hotel is surrounded by mountain views, waterfronts, many places to eat, unique boutiques and art galleries. Founded in 1962 in Santa Barbara, California, the hotel chain is synonymous with a great travel value. The first hotel in Santa Barbara still leaves the light on today, but a lot has changed for the motel chain that pioneered the first real economy motel designed for the no-frills traveler. Basic room amenities and WiFi available in select rooms for a nominal fee. Free coffee in the morning.

Terrible unfriendly desk clerk. The smallest rooms and most rundown Motel 6 we've ever stayed at. Most rooms are no smoking, but people just sit right outside their rooms and puff away, so everyone gets the ugly pleasure of their cigarettes too. State law says you need to be 25 ft from building to smoke, Motel 6 does not enforce state law.
Perfect for a short layover !

Very decent room for a quick trip in the area ( visiting the Vineyards ) - The room was clean and the location was very good. The bathroom was very clean and the bed of good quality. TV in very good condition too.

I am by myself on this trip so wanted just a clean quiet room to sleep in. I got that but I wish the bed would have been a little more comfortable. Back hurts in the morning in my 57 year old body. Nearby are some amazing eateries. Little Brother, Cafe Veloce. Very nice area and access to greater Seattle areas.
By Pass this dump: any savings aren't worth it. English-only speakers shouldn't expect any service.

No wi-fi signal: It's free & without a login so everyone in the area gets online for free! By 8 pm, the motel fills up and there goes any signal. Contacting the front desk I was informed of a pay option with better service: it is the same network but for $5 - the same one that can't connect already, let alone load the log in page to enter a pay code. Grounds are derelict with a strong smoke smell everywhere; my room fridge didn't work and I had to ask for a remote to watch TV. Housekeeping knocked on my door repeatedly wanting to clean the room starting at 8 am and wouldn't stop. I might have profited from my stay had I known to bring crack to sell other guests wandering around the dark grounds of the motel.
