Good breakfast, clean room, but a little bit simple. Close to workout, not close to centrum, but ok walking distance. Short way to good restaurants. Ok restaurant in the hotel.------------------------
Short stay, basic hotel. No charm.

Doors must be slammed hard to close and you can hear the other guests doing it, from your room. Very masculine-looking rooms, lacking bodylotion, mat in bathroom, no bathrobe,water-boiler lacking.. The Spa and Aqua-land is next door and you can walk in the Hotel to come to it, but there is no bathroom in the room. But you get a discount.
Nice family hotel, but service is not quite in line with the price

We booked this hotel for a family autumn getaway, and we chose this hotel with an intention. Scandic bystranda is very well suited for families, with swimming for the children and spa-facilities for mum. The hotel met the expectations, and the rooms were spacious (we upgraded to Superior-rooms). But we were rather disappointed on check-in. We booked this hotel early in advance and made a specific request for interconnected rooms (rooms connected with a door in between, this hotel offer this). With three teenage boys, we needed two rooms, but still wanted to stay together. I even called in a week before the stay, to check if this request was available, which they confirmed. But when we checked in, we ended up with rooms on different sides of the building. When referring to the request upon booking, the staff just shrugged and said this was because the hotel was fully booked. The fact that they ignored this request was a bit disappointing. They staff neither showed any will to find a solution. Note: This is far from a luxury hotel, but prices are not budget either. Location and facilities makes this a very popular accommodation for sport events, and weekends are often fully booked. This makes the hotel swarming with families and youths, and not the place to go for a quiet, romantic weekend. Do I recommend the hotel? For families, so absolutely. But not for couple retreats. And do not expect too much service from the staff.
Hotel for all purposes!

The location is perfect, close to everything in this town. Nice rooms, nice staff and good food! Quit nights and our dog could stay with us. Breakfast is served to late morning for leisure trip also in weekdays. We will be back!
Good, but expected better

The pillows were lympy. The air in the room was very dry. There is no waterbolier og coffeemaking facilities in the room. The sound from the hallway was quite loud. Nice bunkbed for the kids, but no tv for kids after 8pm and before that only 1 channel so not at the level of family friendly that we expected. The breakfast was tasty, but very crowded and messy.
