We spend there one night while we were travelling to Kapas Island: it's a cheap place, very clean, with hot/cold water to drink for free, near the bus station and the most important thing: with air con! Prize: 50 RM/ nigh a double room (without window).

I stayed in Deluxe Triple room with a/c room and private bathroom. The room was clean, came with a dressing table and a stand to dry clothes. The bathrooms and toilets were clean and had water heaters. Take walking about 15~20 minutes you may reach the Chinatown and Pasar Payang market. Overall I would say it's a value to the money.

Stayed 2 nights here. I was quite pleased with the room for the price of 50 Ringgits per night for a single with 12noon checkout. Room has aircon, strong ceiling fan, good wifi. The negatives are the wooden walls between the rooms, and having to use shared facilities. But these were quite clean. 3 showers available plus two toilets, one a squat type all on its own. There is a filtered water dispenser as well. Very close to the bus station.

Uncle Homestay is a very friendly, comfortable and convenient place to stay in Kuala Terengganu. The owner is both very accomodating and helpful. Reading some of the negative reviews I wonder whether the reviewer spoke with the owner about their problems with the homestay. If they had I believe those problems would have been taken care of. One thing I can clarify is that there are two very different types of room at Uncle Homestay. The more comfy ones with A/C and ensuite toilets are great. The cheaper ones are very basic, but fair value for the price. We stayed in an A/C room upstairs for 80 RM which was great value for comfort. We don't like A/C so the owner brought in a big standing fan for us. There is also a comfy lounge area outside the better rooms. One thing that the owner requested was that people phone him either when making a booking ( ideal ) or when they arrive in Terengganu because the Homestay can be a little hard to find. It is near the bus station, but the sign board is small. We were quite content with our stay at Uncle Homestay and happily recommend it.

Very nice place to stay clean room and sanitary. Near bus station.Very friendly owner, he helped us for everything and gave good advices on the city ! A very good value for the price ! AC, hot shower, free hot and fresh water, good wifi.
