Good but overpriced.

This is an old hotel that used to be owned by a wine family, then shut for many years, and reopened after an extensive refurbishment that brought in a great swimming pool and impressively modernised the rooms. It is in a beautiful setting but be aware that it is the only place for 10km that is open at night. And that is a problem. The restaurant is not open every night of the week and when it is is often full. So most of the time you are paying for a bed and breakfast only. While there is a pool and the breakfast is good, it is hard to justify spending over €200 a night on that.

We spent one night here on our way back from the south of france to the netherlands. Should have stayed longer. Had s nice swim with our 5 year old son, great dinner, really nice breakfast. It’s suitable for couples but there is also enough to do for a kid (game room with playstation, mini golf etc). Restaurant really good. Family room (suite) perfect with two separate bedrooms. Will come again.

This is a repeat visit for us as we drive across France to our destination. Lovely hotel, excellent staff, great food, comfortable rooms & very dog friendly. Delightful gardens ideal for having breakfast or an aperitif.
Nice hotel but rooms too small

We stayed for two nights on our way to the South of France. The hotel was very recently renovated and a brand new spa and swimming pool added. Pool was great, big with very warm water. Breakfast and dinner were unexpectedly very high quality, except for the wine recommendation. Service was also very attentive. The room Classic was ridiculously small with too many compromises which made it very unpleasant to be in. No closet space or any shelf to put things except in the bathroom, bathroom without a shower door or a curtain meant you had the whole floor soaked after taking a shower. Located in a quiet village completely unremarkable except for a stunning cathedral opposite the hotel. At least 30 km drive to any other restaurants or wine cellars.

We spent two nights here over a long November weekend. It was simply heaven! The hotel is very tastefully decorated. The rooms are beautiful, the bedding is excellent. The spa is wonderful. The spa area was warm, impeccably clean and the pool was at a perfect temperature. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The bar and restaurant are beautifully decorated. The food and wine selections are sublime! We ate in the restaurant on both nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the wine that was proposed to accompany each dish. Breakfasts were also excellent with some amazing breads, jams, etc.. We know their other establishment, Domane de Barive, very well and we were tempted to try the Armes de Champagne, we were not disappointed and we will be back to experience Springtime in l'Epine, avec grand plaisir!
