A further enjoyable and restful stay. For the business traveller, the internet connection is faultless and the working area is spacious. Despite the restrictions owing to Covid, all precautions are in place, particularly for breakfast. Another great short stay. Staff at breakfast were most welcoming.
Modern Comfort on Charming Harbor

We’re BW Rewards members and couldn’t find anything available in Cassis. Looking close by, I was struck by a photo of the view from this hotel onto the harbor. Their available rooms (harbor view) were a little pricier than we usually like, but we decided to treat ourselves. So glad we did! Maria and other personnel were super accommodating and pleasant, and the hotel is comfortable, with clean, elegant decor, perfectly located for the best views of the harbor! Our room was very spacious, with a large bathroom (huge shower) and separate toilet. There is a large window between the room and the bathroom, allowing for natural light in the bathroom, with a privacy shade. Features included automatic lighting in closets, safe, mini-bar, lighting and outlets on either side of the bed, immaculate linens, and huge flatscreen TV. Our balconied room, 301, had a perfect view of the harbor with vintage crane designed by Eiffel. At night, there was perfect quiet and, in the morning, beautiful natural light poured into the room. (There are sliding doors out onto the balcony and both sheer and room-darkening shades.) La Ciotat is not far from Cassis and, if you like, you can take an alternate road recommended by Rick Steve’s called la Route des Cretes. It’s a little hair-raising, but scenic! Breakfast was an additional €16 (but we didn’t try it) and underground, secured parking was €12 per day. One evening, we ate at the Italian restaurant a few steps from the hotel, La Vigne à l’Olivier. OMG, so good! While in La Ciotat, we took a boatride along the coast, past Cassis and to the Calanques, and we also hiked (from the closest starting point) to the Calanque d’en Vau. We found La Ciotat to be a delightful alternative to the larger Cassis and highly recommend this BW!

Best location in La Ciotat

This is where you can stay when you want to park your yacht right at the front door. We stayed here for a week in winter when many superyachts are in the harbour waiting to be serviced or repaired at the port. A lot to look at - and you can do so when having a lap in the rooftop pool..!! Staff is very courteous and friendly, excellent service. Breakfast is also included, with top quality food. The only small inconvenience is the awkward parking in the underground garage but one can get used to this after a first few days...
Great hotel at the Mediterranean

My relationship with French hotels isn't always without friction, but this one was an exception. It's built at the edge of the ocean, overlooking the sea, boats and a great fish restaurant. Step outside and you can walk along the sea and enjoy all of the restaurants along it. Check-in and check-out was really nice, even when I wanted to change my plans. The hotel makes a very airy and welcoming impression and that is reflected in the breakfast room, the meeting room we used and in the hotel rooms as well. This was probably the biggest hotel room I've had in this category in quite a while and it was well appointed as well from a nice working desk to a good bed, very nice bathroom etc... There really wasn't much to fault here and I'd happily return for another stay.
