2nd time visiting
It's been over 4 years but we finally made it back, this time with a group of 10. Volcano Lodge is an amazing place with its natural rainforest surroundings, thermal springs, pools & bar. Huge thanks to the front staff, kitchen an servers are all so helpful and will make your stay well worth it. Additional thanks to Volcano Lodge for recommending transportation (RideCR) and excursion (Desafio Adventure Company)👍
These walls can talk
It's Absolutely beautiful here. I have a superior room and the views are amazing. I can't really see the volcano but it's technically rainy season so take that into account. The only thing disturbing the vibe is my neighbors. You can hear everything and I mean everything. From light chatter to their very loud sessions. They should really consider doing something to help buffer the sound.
Very relaxing, good food, thoughtful service.
Looking for an alternative to the very expensive spas in town i found this to be really nice. Renovated room with a private porch looking at Atenal. Thermal baths, pool, and pool area/garden were thoroughly enjoyable and beautiful. Staff was delightful and helpful. I particularly enjoyed the English/Spanish slide show displayed in the dining area with helpful notes in both languages. These folks really aimed to please.
Strange reviews
So I guess I don’t understand all the fantastic service reviews of this place as we are here right now and you can’t get anybody to serve you at the bar or the restaurant. Literally NOONE asks you if they can help you and we have a $350 night room🤪
Very nice stay
The room was spacious and clean. The grounds are well kept and lovely. The ac worked great. The staff was phenomenal and very friendly. The food was delicious. The complimentary breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The hot springs and pool area was great. But most of all, the view of the volcano was just beautiful.
