Grand hotel bought back to life

Currently staying here and really enjoying a short stay. It’s a grand old building recently brought back to life. Everything is in great condition and freshly painted. except the bathroom sinks which other reviewers have mentioned but in a ridiculous OTT way. Nice upgrade to a partial sea view room as a HH Diamond which was nice. Breakfast options far better than some comments on here and the plants/landscaping are great….some reviewers complaining about them need to get a life and appreciate what they have done. Great stay and would return.
Most disgusting stay

I completely regret I booking this hotel. It was absolutely the worst hotel stay I’ve had in a long while. I booked a 2 room suite. The room was drab but the thing that appalled me was the bathroom. There was mold all over the sink and shower. It was truly disgusting. The worst part was that the hotel staff refused to do anything about it. I gagged every time I brushed my teeth. We complained several times but they never cleaned it up! They also refused to move us to a different room because they were full and they offered no other solution whatsoever. The second time we complained they sent someone from housecleaning to our room but she just told us that they clean it and it always comes back. So instead of renovating the room they force people to stay in a dirty moldy room? She said she would escalate it to management but never did. After that housekeeping didn’t even attempt too clean up the mold. I can’t believe I payed a premium for a suite and they gave me a dirty room!! So much for the Hilton Clean Stay promise. Aside from this, the room lacked basic functionality. Although it was a 2 bedroom suite, there was no common room or living area. There was a huge, old, ugly pull-out sofa in one of the bedrooms, literally in the middle of the room blocking you from being able to move about the room or access the wardrobe. We had to move the sofa so we could access the wardrobe. The bathroom lacked any storage space or shelves in the shower to put stuff. There was no hotel info or area info in the room, not even a room service menu. The hotel itself was in desperate need of updating and manicuring. There were overgrown plants everywhere blocking pathways, scratching you when you tried to walk through, blocking the amazing sea view. The plants were even blocking the entrance to the pool. We went to the pool the first day and it was horrible . It was Incredibly small so completely packed with people. All the pool furniture has been dragged around to different places and left there even though no one was using it. There were dirty towels and disgusting old food and glasses and dishes left everywhere. No I’ve bothered to clean them up.The pool area is supposed to have a nice sea view but it was blocked by overgrown plants. Staff was rude and not helpful at all. No one helped us with our luggage. No one cleaned the mold out of our room. No one offered to try to make our stay better.
Nice boutique style hotel

The hotel is very well situated along the coast with just a few feet from the beach and right in the middle of the boulevard where there are plenty of restaurants and bars. Wonderful design in the room. A nice minibar and facility to make coffee and tea and a stylish bathroom, with a shower and a bath. The hotel has a restaurant that is rated very well too. The service is good and the staff is friendly. The hotel is very clean and is kept clean all day long. Only comment I have (room 221) is that the water pressure in the shower is very low for a hotel of this price and it takes a very long time (you can easily make a coffee and drink it) before for the water in the shower heats up.

There is something special about this place. Coming from Monaco, my husband and I were really delighted with the way the hotel and location was a very enjoyable vacation, without the pretentious feeling you get at a lot of nice hotels in the region. We will be back!
