Cascade Wellness & Lifestyle Resort

Mixed views really on this hotel and our stay. Had a big apartment, plenty of room, comfortable and reasonably clean. Massive complex on the coast, grand reception area, beautiful landscape and stunning views from the local walks. Nice and safe area, away from the town. Big supermarket 30 minute walk away (hilly), small one 15/20 minutes away. Staff were very helpful, we had a problem with a leak in the bathroom and they came straight away and resolved it, very efficient and they helped us on a few occasions with requests. But we asked for an upper floor apartment with a good view of the pool. Unfortunately we were given a ground floor one with no view of the pool, in apartment block 12, in the corner in the shade. This meant we had absolutely no sun whatsoever on our terrace for the whole month. Very disappointing especially when the better apartments in the sun and with views, were empty. After all, you come to the Algarve for sun right? In my view, it’s not a 5 star apartment. A bit dated, dark inside with big heavy dark brown furniture. Had shower over bath only which we didn’t didn’t like especially when the bath was so high it’s a struggle to get in and out and shower had poor pressure. Has two massive sinks, why not get rid of one of them and out a walk in shower in, would be much better! Kitchen was ok but I did buy a few items as not happy using theirs eg the chopping board was very worn and not nice. Cleaning weekly which was ok but they don’t wash the floors just hoover, so gets mucky which encourages the ants - we had them in kitchen, lounge and bathroom, not pleasant (NB - no cleaning equip provided). Wifi was ok but tended to drop out quite a bit. There are no instructions in the apartments eg how to use the dishwasher and washer/dryer, took us ages to work it out, why not put some simple instructions in? Very thin walls not helped by noisy neighbours, woke us up every morning at 6am talking loudly and blaring TV, could hear them walking around, snoring, flushing loo, washing machine on etc.. not good experience and left us feeling very tired after our stay. So overall, it was an ok stay, but needs improvement, a resort like this really should be No 1 on tripadvisor.

I have just returned from this hotel after a stay with my mum. After feeling anxious about travelling during these times I’m so glad we did. The hotel is lovely and the sea view room was like a picture we was sad to leave it. The hotel staff are friendly and can’t do enough for you from food recommendations and helping putting my teams game on the tv in the lighthouse bar. We also had a massage which was lovely. We would love to return one day and would recommend people to go here. We felt safer then we did at home (UK) and the hotel is lovely and the staff great - sad we didn’t get to say bye to all!

Just returned from a four day stay at Cascades. We stayed on B&B ‘meals on us deal’ which included evening meals. First night we ate in Senses Restaurant which was excellent and the remaining nights in the Gastro Pub restaurant. There was a set menu which changed each night with a good choice of courses. Presentation of the food for all courses was superb. We were there celebrating our anniversary. Unknown to us the hotel found out and on our anniversary evening they presented us with a special 7 course fine dining menu. Each course was explained to us by our waiter, who was excellent,(sorry forget his name) and it was a meal which we will never forget and made our day. Complements to the chef’s who must have gone to a lot of trouble to prepare this meal. From the moment we arrived at reception all the staff during our stay couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. The hotel and grounds are kept immaculately clean and tidy. Even when storm Barbara hit Lagos, staff were still doing there best to keep everything up and running. Rooms are large and very clean, with your own personal COVID kit to use. The choice of TV channels in the room are some of the best I have come across without being charged extra. Thank you to the management and staff for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable. Hope to stay again in the future.

What a fantastic place. We had booked a one bedroom apartment and were upgraded to a two bedroom apartment. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, three terraces and a fully fitted kitchen with Seimens appliances. The staff couldn’t make our stay any more welcoming. All the amenities were great. Fab location for sightseeing western Algarve.

Loved our stay at Cascade Wellness Resort from checking-in at reception to lounging out at the pools (they have 3!) to exploring the different and various amenities (tennis, driving range, full gym) all around the resort (really amazing to be able to walk to one of the most famous natural attractions, Ponta Da Piedade straight from the back of the property!! Literally, right next door). We stayed in the Portugal wing and loved the decor of the room. Breakfast was also very good and the staff was great, helpful and personable. Overall I would definitely come back to Cascade and stay here again. In terms of safety protocols in place for COVID-19, I felt safe as they had a welcome safety pack, hand sanitizer everywhere and masks required when inside public spaces. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cascade Wellness Resort, it was the relaxing break that we needed (super cool to also check out their game room and see all the football teams that have stayed there as well!)
