Excellent accommodation with attentive hotel staff
We were helped by Madeline and Juanita on check in / out, and during our stay, Vince helped my wife and I get a crib for our baby. We stayed in a room just off of the grass courtyard which was excellent for having family over for sunset. An excellent value for a great weekend in Laguna.
Beautiful and cozy
I had a wonderful time at the Laguna Riviera. It is right on the beach and surrounded by adorable boutiques and restaurants. The service is impeccable, particularly that of Madeline and Jordan. They were both incredibly helpful and friendly. I can't wait to go back!
Disappointing
Did not get the room we were booked to get. We were supposed to have a side ocean view with a balcony which we did not get. It was our 30th wedding anniversary so we're especially disappointed. We have stayed here before and had the same problem with not getting the room we paid for.
Location and that’s it
The family and I wanted to do a beach day. It’s a small tiny staycation to keep us normal. Laguna Riviera seemed like a good fit. The location was great. We tried to do an early check in. We got there at 2:30 (check in at 4:00). Was told that the room was not ready and to come back at 3:30 closer to 4:00. She informed us that we can have bathroom keys to change and more than welcomed to use the hotels beach chairs and umbrellas. (Mental note: there are no beach chairs or umbrellas) Was then informed that there will be a $19 fee for parking even though I stated that when I booked it said “parking included” She said yes it’s “included with a fee”. Seriously!! Finally came up the ramp to check in at 5:00. Walked up to the room and it still wasn’t ready. Was told by housekeeping that it would take 5min. We finally walked in the room at 5:30. The room is outdated and bathrooms are less than desirable. Walls are thin. Overall it was a bad vibe. We didn’t even stay the night.
Cute little place on the beach
We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very nice and the room was clean. We had the most basic room they offer, queen bed, no view, but it had a nice little kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave, sink, etc. We went down to the beach both days and it was great to use their chairs and umbrella. Parking is $19/night but the spaces are pretty small, I wouldn’t bring a full size SUV or truck. Property is very close to a great little coffee/breakfast place that you can walk to. I would definitely return to this property and maybe splurge on one of the ocean view rooms with their own balcony!
