So much to do and great service

We loved our one night stay at the Hyatt Regency. After spending a week at a rental house it was great to enjoy all of the amenities of this resort. The kids enjoyed seeing the penguins in the lobby. My husband and son did a bird walking tour around the property while my daughter and I did a hula lesson. Both kids loved the experiences. Service was great around the resort. There are a number of options for swimming. We found the pool over at the Hyatt Residence better for our kids’ swimming level. It was deep enough for them to swim but they could still touch the bottom if they wanted. Having the shaved ice stand on the resort grounds was amazing. They also allowed us to do a late checkout for a reasonable amount so we could enjoy the resort before heading to the airport for our flight home.

We upgraded to an ocean front view and so happy we did - waking up and going to sleep with the sight and sound of the ocean was amazing! The room was modern and clean, the bed was so comfortable, and the motion lighting was a great feature...so much so that we're planning to install some in our house back home. The staff were all very friendly. Our only downside - we weren't impressed with the food (we only stayed 2 nights and only tried the poolside bar/grill so we can't comment on other restaurants.) The food was mediocre - the presentation was nice but just seemed to be missing something to make it remarkable.

Overall property is beautiful. Most of the staff is very helpful. When we first arrived the bell hop had an attitude. Also the concierge made a very big mistake on one of my excursions and I lost a lot of money and they did not fight for me to get it back.

Hotel was more than expected and I have worked in the industry for more than 21 years. Absolutely every one of the staff was so friendly and helpful---BEST EVER!! Regency Club was great and would highly recommend it.

Need to improve customer service!

Very rude staff. Definitely need to work in their customer service. Made my pregnant wife get up and stand in the sun while waiting for food. Explanation was the table was reserved, but there were over 30 empty tables! Front desk staff is also rude. Would suggest to stay at another resort at Kanapali. Construction ongoing in the lobby. Didn’t have power for an entire day!
