Great family hotel

Reviewed 2 september, 2022

Went to Lake George in Aug with my husband and 2 teens and stayed at the Georgian for the first time. It was a great location, friendly staff, very clean. It’s dated but I expected it to be. We had a suite with a lake view/balcony. The room was a good size as was the bathroom. Balcony overlooked the fire pits/pool area which could be noisy for some but we didn’t mind. It was still nice to sit out. The pool was crowded most days but the beach/lakefront was small but not crowded. I would go back.

Lovely Place.

What a nice place. Had a newly renovated room and the details were great. Beautiful pool and fire pits nearby. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Parking can be dicey but there’s an underground lot also. Close to everything so just leave the car and walk. Will definitely be back.

Don't be fooled!

The website made this place look great...but it did not match what it was like in person. For $200.00 a night, we had spiders in our room, red stains on the curtains, the shower grout was mildew stained, the exterior door was covered with bugs so we couldn't get into our room without letting them all in. There was a gap in the exterior door when closed so bugs were probably getting in anyway. The exterior was very runned down with torn carpets, broken concrete and wood...and spiders everywhere! We did not venture to the pool, restaurant, or beach so I can't comment on those areas. Upon arriving, I immediately booked another local chain hotel (which was awesome) and assumed I'd have to take the monetary lose from The Georgian since there was no way we were staying here but, to my surprise, when we reported our dissatisfaction at the front desk, they cheerfully refunded our entire 3 nights stay. Lesson learned!

The pictures do not do it justice!

Reviewed 24 august, 2022

We decided to extend our long weekend in Lake George and arrive a day early. The resort we had booked didn’t have availability so we stayed here for one night only but my entire family (7 people) preferred the Georgian over the resort that we stayed at the rest of the trip! The pictures on TripAdvisor (especially of the outdoor space) do not do this place justice! Maybe the perfect summer weather we had helped but I felt that it was the best lake view and the best pool/bar area of any resort we have stayed at in Lake George Village. The cabana bar appears to be brand new with a beautiful view of the lake, nice lighting at night and fun atmosphere/friendly staff. There’s also an enormous patio adjacent to the pool area with many propane fire pits surrounded by large outdoor couches. We stayed on a Thursday night and had a great view of the fireworks from both this area and our balcony. From the reviews I read it seems like they are in the process of updating but everything I saw looked completely renovated. We stayed in a updated room and the lobby has just been updated as well. We asked for a cot for the room and it was delivered within five minutes. Every other request we had was immediately addressed also. And you can’t beat the very short walk to town. We will definitely stay here again!

Charged $498 to cancel reservation

Reviewed 17 august, 2022

Cancelled a pre-paid 3-night stay due a sick family member and the management charged me $498, I will never step foot in your resort for your business practices. Absolutely ridiculous in this day and age to charge me for cancelling a week out.
