On of the best Lake George's Resorts
The staff was amazing, the rooms super clean and the food was excellent. Very conscious staff regarding COVID and all precautionary measures were taken for our safety. The rooms are big and the perk it has a private beach by the lake so all your needs are taken cared for. Great service by the pool! Will definitely return
Better than expected
We stayed in a 2 Queen Suite w/ a balcony overlooking the pool and lake. The room was very spacious and clean. It appeared to have been recently renovated, including the bathroom. Con: HORRIBLE wi-fi connection and the sofa and arm chair in the extra space was old and dingy.
Loved our stay here
First time in Lake George and wasn't sure what to expect. Our room had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable during the pandemic. The staff went out of their way to make us feel safe. The motel was located within a couple minute walk to all the shops and restaurants. The pool area was very large, plenty of room to spread out. The private beach area had everything you needed included the paddle boats..etc to rent (reasonably priced). Would absolutely recommend The Georgian and stay here again in the future.
Needs updating & better service
My new husband and i had a honeymoon scheduled in March 2020 for Cancun, then the pandemic shut that down. We were waiting until August and decided to stay in-state for a mini-moon. I think i had a higher expectation and maybe that is why i was disappointed. I understand we are still in the middle of a pandemic but i believe that accommodations & service could have been better. Once we checked it, we were told that no housekeeping will be available during our stay. If we needed more towels or linens we had to come to the front desk lobby to pick them up ourselves. I believe it was probably better if housekeeping dropped of "care packages" at the front door of all the occupied rooms every morning and ask that we leave our trash outside the door....instead of us having to dump our own trash to the overflowing dumpster in the parking lot. I had a courtyard room (faces the parking lot) and the noise level was nuts. There were many guests sitting outside their rooms every night listening to music and drinking. I was on the second floor but underneath us was a tailgate hangout. Some guests had their room door open and their pick-up truck parked in front.. music playing and booze flowing. The beach... dirty! Guests have no consideration to take their trash when they leave... garbage everywhere. This is a private beach, so its up to the hotel to have a cleaning crew to pick up during the day and maintain a clean beach for their guest. The food was decent. One of the servers, not so much. He was rude, was busy on his phone, and only came over when we flagged him down. He was in the outside eating deck. The ladies that helped us other times , were very sweet and attentive. Our room had some kind of updates but the bed mattress was old and lumpy. The fridge in the room was cool, at best. We had to call maintenance to come check it. Would I stay here again?... Probably not.
Keep your eyes peeled and be aware
A good time other than what we believed was a camera attached to the tv and the smell of the room wasn’t pleasant either. These TVs have built in remote sensors, there was no reason for this extra attached “sensor” to be on top of the tv, it didn’t work anyway. I’m no camera expert but I do know that this “sensor” didn’t work with the remote. So beware.
