Home away from home

Much better then staying in a hotel and Josie was great. Was in town for a wedding so the location was very convient. The "hotel" was so quiant like living in New England. Room was clean and large bathroom.

STAY AWAY

Reviewed 18 october, 2021

STAY AWAY. I recently stayed at the Sabal Palm House B &B, and had a dangerous and frightening experience. I was in Florida for a family emergency and have stayed there several times over the years and enjoyed it but this is the first time under the new ownership. I was supposed to stay 4 mights in a room on the 2nd floor of the detached "carriage house".. I had to run inside to grab something and got locked in my room without my phone. I frantically pounded on the door until the owner and housekeeper finally heard me. The Alexa based phone system in the room didn’t work because the internet was out so I couldn’t call for help. I was absolutely trapped on the second floor and scared. It took almost 90 minutes of being trapped before a locksmith was able to come and let me out. He said the lock was one of the oldest he had worked on. This was a bad experience but the owner’s attitude made it worse. I didn’t want to stay there one more minute and asked her to refund my last night. She refused. I repeat. STAY AWAY.

Amazing Time

The Room was cozy and clean. The location was perfect. Angela made phenomenal breakfast each morning. Towel service for the beach with chairs and umbrellas was amazing. Quiet atmosphere and intimate setting for the perfect couples getaway. This is a redo!

A Perfect Stay

Reviewed 25 july, 2021

Peaceful stay at beautiful Sabal Palm House Bed and Breakfast with super hosts Angelia and Greg, who made the wonderful stay feel like home! The room was clean and beautifully equipped and decorated nicely. The Key West vibe and antique decorations were a nice touch. The breakfast setting was very tasteful and food delicious! The homemade baked afternoon treats and tea were a nice touch. We will return. Thanks Angelia!

Underwhelmed

Reviewed 20 july, 2021

We spent three nights here, and it was just O.K. After reading reviews and the description online, we were excited for our peaceful get away, and expected much more. They state on the website that they have fresh baked goodies daily, but there were never any fresh baked goodies. Just store bought cookies put out. In our suite, there were candles on the wall that had about an inch of dust, as well as the several silk trees covered in dust. There was a nice table in our room to eat at, but the table cloth was worn and snagged and never changed during our stay, even though we dropped salsa on the cloth. The linens on our bed were thin and worn as well as the towels in our bathroom. There were two bottles of water in our room upon arrival, but was never replenished. There was no choice for breakfast, only what was served, which was nothing special. We ended up going to a local diner for breakfast. The owners are super nice, and we did enjoy talking with them. The property is nice, and with a little work here and there, I'm sure it can be amazing. The owner did tell us that the housekeeper quit the week before, and they don't seem to have a grounds keeper/gardner. Perhaps that's why our weekend was less than what was expected. She seemed very overwhelmed and stressed out when she greeted us when we arrived.
