Pros: Easy walk across the street to Marin Country Mart shops and restaurants. Easy Hwy 101 access. Cons: noise from hallways unbearable early in the morning. Room was corporate functional. Hallways had a gross smell like vomit orsewage.

Service was top notch at front desk. Breakfast meals and sandwiches good. Please note that I accidentally left some clothes in my closet when I left. I called the hotel the next morning and one of the staff, Maria, found my items and shipped them to me in FL. She was very helpful and called to confirm that she sent the items. Would certainly return if in the area again. Thanks for excellent customer service.
Terrible covid-19 practices--felt unsafe as a number of customers and a front desk staffer were not wearing masks

We have stayed here before for several nights earlier in the summer and all was well. But we just stayed again, expecting to find the same and were very unhappy this time. ..to the point of feeling unsafe. We saw a number of guests exiting the elevator and walking the halls who were not wearing masks. (There were no signs in the halls or elevator reminding people to wear their masks, just one on the front entrance and a 2nd one off to the side on the side door, where people are unlikely to notice, and no sanitizer stands by the elevator or side doors--something most COVID-19 certified places have). Few people seemed to be wearing masks coming and going from the side entrance of the hotel (taking an elevator and walking on interior unvented hallways). When my husband politely noted that masks were mandatory indoors to one man in our 2nd floor hallway earlier today, the customer responded in such a way that felt threatening, telling him agressively and very loudly to "mind his own business" 9so loudly that I could hear the encounter inside our room). When I went down to the front desk to let them know there should be more signage about masks being mandatory as we'd just had an encounter that made us feel unsafe, I saw that the nice older woman at the front desk had not been wearing a mask. She did not pull her mask up over her face when she eventually came over to talk with me. When I told her about the encounter that made us feel unsafe and suggested additional signage, she expressed her sympathy and noted how bad it was that some people were not wearing masks...all while not wearing her mask and standing outside the protective glass to talk with me. I noted politely that modeling behavior might be good...along with additional signs. Only then did she pull up her mask, and commented that it was hard to get people to comply. I am sympathetic that it is hard to get people to comply (I write about the hospitality industry), but this experience was stunning. We'd planned to stay here again several more times this fall, but now I am not feeling like it is a safe option.
I would love to stay here again!

We were in town for my wife's surgery at the nearby hospital, so I arranged to stay a couple of nights. I couldn't have been more pleased with the service and accommodations. Sheila, at the front desk, was so friendly and knowledgeable with not just my reservation, but also with the reservations of those in front of me while I was waiting to be checked in. The room was recently renovated (at least if felt/looked that way) and the location was lovely. I look forward to staying again for recreational travel, where we can enjoy the waterfront and shops across the lane a little more. I didn't get away from the hotel or the hospital too much, but the snack bar area by the front desk had EVERYTHING I could want, so I was very glad for the convenience. Thank you to the staff and management who took great care of me during such a hectic time!
Hotel in natural environment.

This is not a luxury hotel, but got my good review because location is great, surrounding is very green and natural, lobby is welcoming, rooms are good size and beds are comfortable. What more do you need ? Staff is friendly. Only, the elevator is kind of away from lobby area, that can be tolerated.
