More about the hotel
An Enjoyable Oasis Wanted Couple of More Days
We stayed 5 nights at that property and we fell in love with the place. The highlights are, the modern rooms and newer property, the roof top bar, food, pool, gym, service and location. Literally almost everything was extremely pleasant and enjoyable. We took the half a board pkg and made sure that we return to the hotel for our dinner. The variety and offerings at the breakfast buffet and dinner was superb. The gym is small but still squeezed in few workouts. There was almost no English speaking guests as most of the visitors were from Germany, Holland or Spaniards. A challenge at times to communicate but nevertheless they made every effort to accommodate. We also enjoyed a nice 5 hour stay around the pool on our last day after the 11 am check out with a nice clean shower before heading to the airport. Only 7 minutes to the airport. Leaving 2 days too early. Highly Recommend it.
Decent hotel but some basic service could be better
We are on our honeymoon and enjoying the facilities here. We are staying for 8 days but the first night was booked separately so we are able to leave this review with a few more nights to go. The hotel presents very well, clean and well organised which is important given the current circumstances. The front of house staff are very friendly and helpful, especially George who has been very helpful. Everything is great when you are inside the hotel however the cracks begin to appear when you go outside by the pool. We struggled to get service quite a lot, we sometimes have to get up and go searching for staff to take our drinks orders when we are on the pool loungers. This is disappointing when we want to pay for cocktails and nobody comes. Getting an ice bucket for our drinks and to keep our sun creams and waters cool (it was 39 degrees yesterday) and it has been a struggle every day so far. They say they cannot provide, even when we buy drinks. A pitcher of sangria tastes like hot fruit tea after a short time! One of the bar staff has been quite difficult a couple of times (I think he just dislikes his job or dislikes us..). He bought over our drinks and mixed the Malibu and the Gin around so we poured the tonic inside the Malibu and piñeapple with the gin. We went up to the bar and he was difficult about changing it, even though it was his error. Then another staff member came and changed our drinks for us. The same guy refused to provide us a with a cork screw for our bottle of wine in our room and wanted us to bring the bottle down. This is a 5 star hotel and these are the little things that really leave a bad taste in your mouth. Finally, there are (as we expect) a few groups who have no disregard for social distancing. There is a fantastic lady at the pool who always blows her whistle when they are getting too close to others but the other guards do or say nothing. I think it’s expected that staff are very strict on the Covid awareness rules and protocols to ensure your hotel stays safe. Let’s see how the remaining few days are and I will post a full review when we get home. There are nice nice 5 star hotels very close by so depending on the rest of the stay, we may try another one next time.
Superb hotel
We had 2 wonderful weeks here and enjoyed every minute. The hotel has set up a trouble free system for serving the excellent buffet breakfast and dinner. Masks only need to be used in public places but not by the pool and dining and bar areas The whole place was spotlessly clean and all the staff very friendly and helpful. I will be on the lookout for this hotel group next time I come to Majorca because I was so impressed
July 2020
We had a standard double room with pool view. The view was excellent with a view of the pool and the ocean. We were a family of 3 with a teenage daughter who slept on the sofa bed, which was a little narrow and perhaps more suitable for a younger child. The food was excellent with an wide choice both for breakfast and dinner. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and particular attention was taken to the current Covid-19 situation, all staff wore masks and regularly used hand disinfectant, customers weren't required to wear masks but everyone did and there were masks in the room when we arrived. Thanks to Oscar, our dining experience was even better, always with a smiling face (despite the mask) and a warm greeting each time we visited his section. Beverage prices were very reasonable and the quality was excellent, both in the restaurant and hotels bars. The pool is very large and there were plenty of comfortable sun beds (unfortunately we still had the usual towel reservations of sun beds from early morning despite the fact that some weren't used until late afternoon)
Great hotel, needs some adjustments
My wife and I live in Denmark and booked a last minute break to celebrate our 1yr anniversary to this hotel once the lockdown eased. Hotel is amazing, it’s clean, modern and has brilliant facilities such as pool bar, lobby bar, roof bar, small gym, spa and spa treatments. Which I appreciate that COVID has changed the world the hotel has done amazing to set up so they can open there were a few things that I felt lacked given the 5 star status. It could be me just being picky and I am 100% sure that as the hotel continues to adjust these items will no doubt improve and my wife and I would come back and stay here. The staff appear to cater for German guests more as in they can all speak a good level of German but some, especially the service staff struggle with English, however my Spanish is non existent so I shouldn’t complain. Some nights, as we went half board, we had finished our dinner before being able to grab the attention of staff to get drinks for the table be that water or wine. The cocktails are also a little inconsistent e.g. the tequila for margarita or Long Island has an aniseed flavour. This could be because the spirit isn’t a premium brand or the mixologist mistakenly used ouzo or similar. Breakfast always offered a great selection including freshly cooked eggs - scrambled, poached, omelette or fried. Dinner again was superb, had a grill station for meet such a freshly cut steak, rabbit, lamb, chicken and they also had a fish station for whole fish, prawns, fillets etc. Evening entertainment was also quality on the roof bar, heaven, with live music and table service.
