Plaza hotel was awesome, the staff was very nice and the room was clean and roomy. We also tried Oscar’s steakhouse and it was amazing! Well worth the cost. The overall environment was a great experience. I would 100% come back.
An Enjoyable Stay

A large hotel like the Plaza should ideally provide everything a guest needs to keep him on property. If something is lacking, the guest will stray. The Plaza provides nearly everything, but there are some sad gaps. There is a gym, which is awesome. But it's only open during the day. There is a main restaurant with a large menu, but its operating hours are so severely reduced, it closes at 2pm most of the week. The deli is gone. The pizza place and Mexican food are greatly overpriced with small portions. Thankfully McDonalds and Subway have extended hours, but neither is very unique to a visitor. The rooms provide bottled water, which is always welcome. But the walls are thin and acoustics make it feel like your neighbor is in your room. A little TV time can squelch that noise. Most of these things are a result of the pandemic, so I understand the current situation. Can't wait until things return to normal. And I did have a good time.
Good to see the Plaza getting through this

Everyone is masked up inside for the most part (some smoking/drinking/eating), but no plexiglass dividing up spaces at the live tables. Hash house restaurant on site was pretty good for breakfast, nothing fancy.
The Plaza One of the Best Options for Downtown LV

The Plaza is one of my favorite hotels to stay and to play. They are known for the only bingo in Downtown. You would think that bingo is limited to older generations, but there were times when I went and there were couples and groups in their 20s that played on electronic machines. (I feel like bingo is easiest way to gamble on a budget for those who are not always chasing major jackpots or want to spend less time on crowded gaming tables.) Stay in the North Tower if you want the quickest access to bingo (and the Fremont Experience. The hotel itself if quite nice. I've stayed in both the Deluxe and the Luxe rooms - with the latter being on where I stayed during the visit. The Luxe Rooms have nice non-carpeted floors which are easier to clean and the decor gives a trendy boutique look. I appreciate that the bathrooms are much more spacious feeling than the Deluxe rooms (though I wish the showers was wider). There were outlets and USB charging ports on all of the side tables and desk and the alarm clock had a qi charging mat for wireless charging. Those of you who have a lot of electronics have will not have to worry about trying to find an outlet. One benefit is that they do have complimentary check in at 12pm if there are rooms ready. I love that!
My Reservation Experience was a no for me

Normally I would give a 5 because of the location , friendly staff , cleanliness of rooms , and some good eats . Also an option to use the gym and swimming pool. I like the overall old Las Vegas feel . But it was the reservations process for me was a no. I felt like I was being scolded and reservationist was down right rude. Before I could clarify my reservation and ask more questions she hung up on me . I called back and received the same reservations person and she literally scolded me in a very loud and impatient voice like she was telling me off because she repeated what she had said in a previous conversation. I did my research and found out that it was the actual reservation manager and I’m still awaiting a response for the hotel director.
