Very nice front desk staff, but male manager is pretty rude
Reviewed 27 november, 2021
I booked a last-minute one-night stay at The D using Hotel Tonight. It was one of the cheapest hotels I could find for Thanksgiving weekend. The price was right, and I'd stay here again if the price is low. I spoke to several front desk staff members, and they were all very friendly. However, the male manager was rather rude to me about temporary parking in the front during check-in. When I pulled up to check in, it was after midnight, and there was no valet attendant at the front. The valets must have all been dealing with cars. There's a sign in the front implying that you are allowed to park in the front for check-in, so I asked the male manager to confirm permission. He was quite rude and told me that he would tow my car, and I had to go back outside and wait for valet to return. If that's the case, it's fine, but put up a CLEARER SIGN and be polite in explaining that guests may not leave their cars out front during check-in unless there is a valet to confirm. The free wifi is slow but adequate. The fast speed wifi upgrade is $5. The edge of my bed sloped downward. The room was clean overall. The shower walls had a few small specks of soap. As other reviewers have noted, the location is in the heart of Downtown, and at night, it is pretty loud due to the Fremont Experience. There's a bandstand next door to the hotel (between The D and Four Queens), so be prepared for music until the wee hours. I didn't mind the noise but if you want to get to sleep early, you might want to look elsewhere.

The location is the best thing about this hotel. Right on Fremont Street. We enjoyed the McDonalds in the hotel late at night for a quick bite. Also, the coffee shop by the check-in desk has good coffee. The hotel itself, a bit run down, rooms mostly clean. It's good enough for a drunken gambling trip. Most rooms do not have refrigerators. Easy comp drinks if you sit at the bar and gamble.
Catalytic Converter Stolen in Parking Lot
Reviewed 31 october, 2021
We stayed at the D for two nights and our catalytic converter was stolen in their parking lot. They did not offer so much as an apology. This is after they accidentally cut off our Wifi for the second night and pounded on our door at 9:30a despite a 'do not disturb' sign, having a second night ahead, and a 12p checkout. Other than that, great location and comfortable (enough) stay. We were on the 19th floor and were warned about the noise and given earplugs. The noise was not bad at all and we did not need earplugs.
Not sure how The D Hotel manages to stay in Buisness with Service and Facilities this bad.

We arrived in Vegas for the "Reggae Rise up Festival" the event organizers suggested The D due to it's close proximity to the Downtown event. Initial impressions were bad due to the check in lobby itself being in a Cigarette smoke filled part of the casino. After waiting 42 "Timed" minutes to be helped by the single front desk attendant we were told that our reserved room was not available. I asked to talk to a manager, once he arrived 18 minutes later he reiterated that there were no rooms available, after informing him that we had nowhere else to go, He offered a Smoking room. After informing him that I suffer from a respiratory issue he said that he could put a Air filter in the room and switch our room in the AM. With no where else to go we were forced to take the Smoking room. The Room was as basic as you can get 2 beds a small chair, Small TV, 2 large towels, 2 wash cloths, 1 lamp, 1 night stand. Just the bare basics. The room was directly over Fairmont st so there was Booming music and crowd noise every night until 4am. After all the issues I experienced with The D hotel I was never offered a simple apology for the many inconveniences. As a regular visitor to Las Vegas I Never expected a Hotel to actually be this Bad in all areas. If you are reading this Avoid this Hotel at all costs.
The D Hotel Staff are Great , The Hotel itself is just old and Dated .

The D Hotel Staff really try their Best to accommodate the guests however my room really needed a much deeper cleaning from top to bottom. From the carpet to the bathroom sink basin it all needed to be touched up and detailed in order for it to be remotely accepted for guests . Oh and the multiple long hairs on the bed didn’t help my idea of an acceptable room either. Now the Manager Ms. Breeher was very accommodating and provided me with some food comp fundsi on my room account you can’t ask for anything more from management in my opinion. The Hotel is Old , dated , and lacks sophistication however the staff , location , and price make up for the few misgivings . I am going to hold my review at an even 3 stars until the Cleaning Staff steps up their game and rises to the occasion in this “ Covid 19 “ era where there really is no excuse for a clean room whatever year the Hotel was built. I still recommend that prospective visitors consider this Hotel for all reasons I mentioned above. Thanks, Scott.
