I stayed at this Novotel site for three nights at the beginning of this month whilst on a short holiday trip to Paris. I have been lucky enough to visit this great city a number of times over the last few years for short breaks and as I hold an Accor hotels loyalty card I have used several of their establishments in various locations around the city. In the past I have mainly stayed in either Ibis or Mercure brand hotels and this was my first time using a Novotel. When searching for one of the Accor hotels I had gained the impression that the Novotel was a midscale brand comparable with Mercure. Following my stay I would have to state at the early part of this review that I found this location to be somewhat below that position. The physical location of this hotel was just on the outside of the Peripherique ring road just to the south of the Porte d'Italie where there are numerous Metro, bus and tram public transport stops. This makes getting to the hotel very straightforward. After completing the short walk to the hotel and entering a member of staff very quickly and efficiently handled the check-in procedure. I used the lift to go up to my room on the sixth floor. The room was of a reasonable size and throughout my stay was maintained in a very clean state. I have to say though that it had no more feeling of quality than any Mercure or indeed Ibis room that I've stayed in before. Two particular aspects I soon discovered were a disappointment to me. The temperature in the room was always too hot for my liking and no matter how low I adjusted the air conditioning control on the wall the fan continued to blow warm air it seemed. There was one window in the room but this was fastened firmly shut with no way to open it at all. The other aspect I found somewhat lacking was that there was no hair dryer supplied in the bathroom. Even at the cheapest Ibis hotels I have found this basic facility available. In its' favour the bed proved to be very comfortable and also the free wi-fi service enabled me to use the internet on my phone very reliably. One other very much appreciated feature was the provision of tea/coffee making facilities in the room but as I have found at several other hotels they rarely leave enough materials to make up drinks at night and then first thing in the morning as well. I did go down to the reception and was given some extra sachets. When making my booking I had chosen to have breakfast each morning and this proved to be one of the nicest aspects of my stay as there was a great variety of hot and cold options and excellent coffee. The hour spent in the pleasant ambience of the restaurant area was a very nice way to start each day. On my final day in Paris, as I was not due to catch a Eurostar service back to the UK till the afternoon, I was able to leave all my luggage in a secure storage room next to the reception after I checked out and this meant I could go out in the morning unencumbered. So to sum up my time at this hotel I would say that whilst it provided a pleasant place to base myself it offered really no more than other lower budget possibilities within the Accor family of hotels.

Very smooth check in, we did have a slight problem with the water not running away from the shower, but this was sorted straight away. The location is convenient and the breakfast was average compare to what you can get close by.
Nice hotel on sides of hustle and bustle

Stayed in this hotel with family to visit Paris. Unfortunately there was strike and most of public transport was closed during this time. However staff was very helpful to guide how to get our ways. We had good time despite this but of destruction
Novotel in Paris

A good Novotel, a bit out of downtown but metro station is at 5 minutes walk, and tram brings you directly in front of Exhibition center in Porte de Versailles. Breakfast at good Novotel standard, clean rooms. The gym room is small, but it's there , in case you find nothing to do in Paris.
Very family friendly. Clean and good service!

We had a very nice stay at Novotel! The rooms were clean and comfortable beds (which is needed after many hours of walking in Paris every day!). Our kids loved that there was both bathtub and a shower. Fun lobby with activities for the family, ping pong and games. The staff was extremely friendly and we got an very nice service and felt well take care of. We had few issues with the reservation (that was actually Booking.com fault) but the receptionist helped us and found solutions. We can warmly recommend this hotel to all Paris visitors! It was easy to access from the airport (CDG) with taxi (less then 40min). First days we stayed we were a bit sceptical to use Metro, so we took taxi. The reception staff helped to order (it was cheaper then Uber). But our last day we tried Metro, which of course was much cheaper and it was smooth to use with kids too. The station is not far from the hotel, I would say about 10min walk (with kids). We loved every minute of our stay and hope to be back soon!
