Value for the price

Value for the price. The food was simple, and the staff were professional and very friendly. The room was small but clean. Good location close to the highway, but nothing to see in the middle of a industrial area.

A bit too basic

Reviewed 15 july, 2019

We've slept in Campaniles many times before and yes, we know, they differ. In Campanile Lens our room was very basic and rather shabby. It was a small room - we were tucked away behind the outdoor stairs, so the other rooms may have been larger - hardly any amenities, there was a tray with coffee/tea but without the kettle. We didn't go and ask for it. Shower ok. Room was clean but not soundproof: it felt like the heavily snoring neighbour was sleeping in our room. Perhaps better to spend more money next time. This wasn't worth the 59 euros we paid for it.

Great place to visit loos

Reviewed 20 september, 2017

Chose the hotel due to its proximity to loos en gohelle to visit the ww1 sites. The town of loos is 1/2 hour walk. Hotel has a good on site restaurant and staff speak good English and are very helpful. Hotel is also a great base to visit the city of lens.

Incredibly noisy

Walls made of paper. Do not stay if you want to get to sleep. Staff were friendly though. Place is convenient for the motorway so only saving grace especially is not particularly cheap. Recommend you stay someone else.

Good Position

This certainly is a no frills accommodation. Stayed four nights ...as a base. Needs to pay more attention to housekeeping - a black ring around the water line of the toilet making it look very dirty.....a splash of bleach would have solved it. The bath is quite high to step into, with an overhead shower....there were no rails so getting in and out of it was tricky and would be impossible if you had mobility issues or not good hip flection. There was every possibility to slip whilst getting in or out without a stabilizing hand. The towels did not look or smell clean and were not changed daily. There was a hospitality tray with the minimum items....two tea bags, one coffee, two sugars and two little milk rounds, no biscuits. Meals here are expensive considering portions and quality. We booked our stay as 'a deal'.......and did not feel it was overpriced for what it was.....should we have paid full price...l would not be a happy bunny......of which there were lots in the surrounding area.
