Not updated since 1980's
So smoky that it gave me a headache. Toilet seat was broken. Looked like blood splattered on walls in bathroom and on bathroom door. Left within 10 minutes of checking in. Looked nothing like pictures online.
Don't Stay Here Stay At The Ramada Up The Street
They lie when they say they have a "continental breakfast". What they offer is a "budget airline snack" of a tiny juice box and a granola bar. During our 4 day stay our room was never serviced despite two face to face requests to the front desk. Our trash was never emptied, our bathroom was never cleaned, we never received a refresh of soap and shampoo or of towels. We had to go to the front desk every day for fresh towels. Also, despite the fact we had a four day reservation and they had our credit card on file, they only programmed our key card for one day at a time. They have also created a safety hazard in their bathtubs. They have installed curved shower rods but too low. The shower curtains bunch at the bottom so either you put the curtain in the tub and take the chance of tripping on it in the tun or put it outside the tub abd take the chance of slipping on the wet floor when you get out. We usually stay at the Ramada up the road for their indoor pool but because it was closed we thought we would try this facility for a lower price. Big mistake. One of the worst hotel stays I have ever had and I have stayed in hotels on 4 continents and in several third world countries
Never again
I will never stay at this hotel again. Paid for two nights in a dirty hotel room with what appeared to be blood on the linens and dirty socks and trash from previous guest still in the room. Not to mention my fiancé was almost robbed right outside the hotel. Any attempts to check out early and get my money back was ignored. We ended up not staying the second night and went home and returned the keys the next day. Needless to say we won’t be returning
Crackerjack operation
The only reason this hotel is getting even two stars is because they did have a nice patio, however no chairs on the patio we had to go buy our own. Not even sure where to start but let's just go with a blood spot on the comforter, no blanket at all just a bedspread, the sheets were so scratchy they felt like sandpaper and my daughter and I had to sleep with clothes on because the first night irritated our skin so badly. I was quoted a price of $132 for my room but was charged $15 more for some reason. When I asked the night clerk about it, he was snotty with me so I just said forget it. The bathroom was very small and the toilet so low to the ground that you almost fell over when sitting on it. It was also extremely hard to flush. No toiletries offered, except for one small tiny bottle of shampoo, not even enough for one person. The towels are not even large enough to go around your entire body so if you're someone of size, you're not going to get dried off unless you use several. Their idea of a continental breakfast was a small tiny paper bag with half of a granola bar and a coffee cake and juice box. The staff was also rude upon check-in and also rude when I asked about the breakfast. Wifi is spotty at best. The hallways wreaked of cigarette smoke and weed, even though there are clearly no smoking signs throughout and on the room doors. The mirrors in the bathroom looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a very long time, and only one chair in the room with the table. Would not stay here again unless absolutely desperate. Maybe the one good thing was that it did have a restaurant and bar attached to it but it was closed very early and we didn't get a chance to see how it was.
Not a good choice
We stayed one night on the way south. Pictures of hotel and rooms look clean and nice. However, they are not representative of the room.. room was dirty , peeling ceiling cobwebs everywhere. The bathroom had blood splatter on the wall and floor. The room is old and dated. Table and chair did not fit. TV grainy reception. Sunday breakfast was done by 9:00 and consisted of a granola bar. This was told to us by the check in clerk. Who admitted they ran out of food. We will not be back
