No housekeeping, no apologies
Opinión escrita el 10 de Agosto de 2021
I have stayed here 8 times, with the last time being 2 years ago. It has REALLY deteriorated. I made an explicit request for housekeeping and got no beds made, no fresh towels, no vacuuming, no toiletries...NOTHING...despite direct discussion with the manager. The mattress had a big yellow stain and no mattress pad. Towels had brown stains. Pool area moldy.Cookies scattered in and behind the couch E ven the breakfast is now marginal. Manager refused to give me any compensation and rudely told me to stay elsewhere if I want housekeeping. Unbelievable
5th but sadly probably my final stay here

I’ve stayed at this hotel several times (5 I believe). 3 of my stays I’ve had to move rooms because they smelled so terrible. One time I didn’t even GO IN the room. As soon as I opened the door it hit me so hard I stopped. And I noticed the window was open and the curtain was blowing which told me the staff knew it smelled terrible too but they still let it to be checked out by a guest. Anyway, last night, same thing. Smelled terrible of it as soon as I opened the door but I always travel with a diffuser so I figured I could “clean it out” like I always do, I was tired and it was late and I just didn’t feel like dealing with moving. But as I got settled in it was clear the previous guests had a good time. There were still two fake rose petals left in the floor. The curtain was not hanging properly. But the worst part was this time there was also WEED IN MY ROOM! 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ The ironing board apparently is where they rolled joints or whatever cuz it was still out, with a large hook, and a few pieces left behind. How does the cleaning service not see this stuff?? Pictures of all included.
Pros - basically everything else. Beds are nice. Staff is always SUPER friendly. Location is good. But seriously, what is with the smells?
Good hotel, but staff needs retraining for pandemic

I would have given this hotel five stars but for the fact that staff needs a reminder about wearing masks. First, the hotel is in a great location for easy on and easy off the interstate. It is close to fast food restaurants, a grocery store and the highway that takes you to the lake. We parked and were impressed by the lobby which was welcoming. The front desk clerk was friendly and chatty. He sent us up to our room on the third floor after some interesting conversation. He told us the breakfast room had reopened but only 14 people were allowed in at a time. That did not prove to be a problem. The next morning after we came down for some fruit, juice and coffee, we spotted a dining room employee wiping down surfaces without a mask on. Later, we saw her with a mask on, but it wasn't consistent. We also spotted several housekeepers with masks around their necks or with noses exposed. Luckily, the front desk clerk said if we put out the "do not disturb" sign, no one would come in our room during our stay. He did not know what cleaning protocols took place but he said they were in place. Our stay here was nice. Both nights had uninterrupted sleep on a comfortable bed with high quality linens, a choice of several pillows, and soft, fluffy towels. The room was clean and comfortable, and the entire hotel was modern and attractive.
Best hotel of the trip.

This was by far the best hotel on our trip. Modern. New. Very nice and courteous man who checked us in. We reserved two King Rooms but when we checked in we were told Expedia gave us kings when no kings were available. Ok. Not a deal killer. Price was still right and we got two rooms with double queen beds. Comfortable new beds. Great décor. Great bathrooms. Plenty of parking. Dairy Queen next door. What more could you need or ask for.
Management never on site for problems!

My husband and I planned a stay here for our anniversary, a much needed 24-hour get-a-way in Michigan wine country. Last minute, our special needs daughter needed to come with us due to a caregiver falling through. We called the hotel repeatedly asking if we could upgrade to the 2-bedroom unit (my husband is a Diamond Choice member) and the various people “on duty” didn't have the authority for a simple upgrade, and kept saying the manager hasn't been in. This went on for two days. On the day of our arrival, at 4 p.m, I said "This 2-bedroom unit is still not booked, can we please have it, it is our anniversary!" They still said NO. Horrible and insensitive treatment, which ruined our anniversary trip. They put us in a tiny room for all 3 of us. There was no reason to not give us that room in light of the circumstances, our member status and the fact that it would not obviously be booked that day at that point. BEWARE: MANAGERS NOT ON SITE TO RESOLVE PROBLEMS and no authority given to the workers.
