Terrible experience, checked out after first night

I went with my family during Christmas, thinking its a good way to stay somewhere close to family while obtaining the points needed to reach Platinum for 2023. This hotel got higher ratings than any other Marriott property nearby on multiple websites, so figured why not. The worst was the service upon check-in I've never experienced, with a woman who's name i don't recall but with a tatoo necklace around her chest/neck talking/yelling back at me, telling me to shut up, how I cannot always be right, and how I ruined her day (to which when i give her an out and say 'i get it, long day, she responds saying no not a long day, but just me!). I can go up and down the luxury scale (big fan of Hampton Inns), but this place wasn't even nice. Even after the apparent 2019 renovation, overall feel was it was run down, with carpets that made you think (never a good sign), eh bed, and overall feeling the place was clean. Breakfast was below average also. The little pool i suprisingly took my little one was nice, though slightly cold. Interestingly, the manager who was on the phone for a small portion of my check-in conversation from the night before must have heard enough that the assistant manager in the morning apologized repeatedly. No matter. Terrible service plus not a nice property lead me to check out my family and into the nearby Sheraton (which was far better).

OK, this is not a 5 star hotel, but they do fine for what they offer - good and friendly service, clean and efficient rooms, a decent breakfast. The grounds are well kept. I did not have any unusual requests, but I am confident they could have been met.

Just a quick visit

We stayed here over night Sunday after a concert in Detroit. We got there at almost midnight and check in was quick and painless. The room was clean, the hotel was quiet, the bed was comfy. The continental breakfast was good. The staff was friendly. Definitely would stay here again

I would like to Thank “Rondria” for amazing customer service. She went above and beyond for me and my super restless family after a 18 hour drive to Michigan. We got in earlier than expected and sleeping in the car for another second I couldn’t do. I explained the situation to her and she was able to check us in right away and get extra towels she was just so sweet. Thank you so much, hope to visit again soon.

In town for a family visit we stayed at this hotel for the first time. One of the best in the area. Check in was quick and seamless. Our room key was ready at arrival. Mike at the front desk was extremely helpful with any questions I had regarding our stay. The room was clean and bright and quiet. Beds were comfortable as well as the pillows. The room had plenty of amenities to make you feel at home and if you needed anything cleaning staff was available to provide. Modern shower with good water pressure Excellent breakfast with many items to choose from and Clarice was there to keep all stations well stocked. If your going to stay in the area this is the place. Very competitive pricing
