I had a wonderful bed and breakfast stay at Fferm Y Felin last weekend. I was greeted with a very warm welcome from Anne, the owner, and shown to a very comfortable, quiet room in the main house, with lovely views. Everything had been thought of, with nice touches including a jug of fresh milk in the fridge, a full range of Pukka herbal teas and details of the free Wifi. After a good night’s sleep, I had the best breakfast ever! Three courses with locally sourced ingredients, all perfectly cooked - it was delicious. The converted farmhouse, cottages and large grounds are set in a beautiful countryside setting, a short walk to the village or drive into Carmarthen. Highly recommended.
Lovely stay close to Skanda Vale

Lovely B&B in close proximity to the Skanda Vale ashram which is a home away from home. The owner Anne is lovely and the best part of our stay was the time we spent with the goodest labrador boy who's very friendly. The room has amenities we needed and was comfortable. The bathroom is ok and a renovation is currently being planned according to the owner. The check in was before 10 and Anne contacted us a few times to check on us beforehand as we had a long drive. The place also has a farmshop which has honey, jam and wool items for sale. Happy with the service and facilities, thanks Anne and Melvin (apologies if I got the name wrong) for the lovely stay!
Nice Cottage but bad surprise about the price of the breakfast

We were welcomed by very friendly Ann. We were given a beautiful cottage, quite big but a bit messy and unclean. The bad surprise came from the breakfast, which was supposed to be included. Ann said that, only a continental breakfast was included, a full English costed us £10.00 each. So a night initially rented for £80.00 with 2 breakfasts included, ended up costing £100.00 quite a difference. As a matter of fact, a breakfast costing 25% of the bedroom cost, is the most expensive breakfast I have ever paid. Very unpleasant surprise.

We had a lovely time at Fferm Y Felin, it's a beautiful place very quiet and relaxing. Anne and Tereasa couldn't do enough for me and my family, they were very lovely people and extremely welcoming. I've already booked another night stay next month for me and my partner! The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, I would definitely reccomend.
Spoilt birthday trip

Upon arrival we were greeted by two lovely ladies. However for us that's where our experience turned , we were told we were in the room where all people who bring their pets stay , fine we thought, we entered our room via a metal spiral staircase which had a loose bit at the top of it ..not safe, couldn't open the door properly due to the one of many dirty rugs , the carpet left much to be desired and needs cleaning badly, there was carpet all in the bathroom even covering the side of the bath , the paint work was marked and dirty, there were left over toiletries from other guests , no toilet paper the towels were grey not white the pot with the teabags in felt grimey, i put my bag on one of the chairs only to walk into a cobweb , looking up there were 6 spiders and numerous cobwebs, the room was tiny and over furnished and outdated, the kettle was by the wardrobe on one side of the bed whilst the tray was over the other side on a pine sideboard , it smelt damp even though all the windows were wide open we were told the town was 5 minutes down the road but was actually 15 in all a very unpleasant experience and we found we actually could not stay there in those conditions especially during times when covid 19 is a real threat
