More about the hotel
no no no not for us problem after problem
we have just come back after a 10 day stay here. OMG!!! we had sent e mail for late check in & towel and bed linen hire. when we arrived the place was locked , we did expect some one to be waiting for us with the key as we had had our e mail acknowledged. 25.00 euros, we had been quoted 19 euros. Deposit 120 euros that we had not been told about. no lift. 4 flghts of stairs no help with bags the stairway is so dark and narrow. We struggled up and let ourselves in. The curtain in the bedroom was hanging on by a thread, the beds where filthy. The sofa and the one cushion absolutly stank. The sockets where hanging off the walls. The floor was dirty and covered in "sand" from the beach. The living room curtain was also not in good order. In the morning we reported all the faults and was told that some one would sort it and was it OK to go to our room if we are not present we agreed. On day three I think the chap from reception came and let himself in & said we shouldn't be there he thought " we had squatters" and had to show our paperwork he did apologies but said we had been put in the wrong apartment but never moved us. two days before we left a dog we think did his business on the stairs apart from being spread across three stairs it was still there when we left. we had an early flight home so had to arrange the return of deposit and what to do with the key. the curtains never did get fixed. Do not stay at the Blavamar apartments.
Perfect Hotel - Laurent... The Top. (Month Jun.July; 2018)
Hello! Once again, this year, the third time that we go to this Lloret's Hotel. I want to show our thankfulness to all workers of "San Marcos Blavamar Hotel". All of them, works so hard and they were very kind with my familily. In alphabetical order: Anahí, Elisa, Elisabeth and Laurent... And all of them; which now i can´t remember all their names. (please forgive me for it). I have to say that LAURENT (kind and brave french worker) is the top. Laurent, gave us support, at any hour at any moment, to find solutions to help my mother. My mother, now, she has a health, a little weak by the moment. Laurent did the same with all my familily also, with his effort, kind and humanity. He was concerned, at any time about my mother´s health. I´m fairly confident that my mother, coming soon, will be better about her health, and her natural strenght and tireless spirit will come back to my mother again. La France, the French Republic has two summits: LAURENT and the" MONT BLANC" mountain. But Laurent, is much more higher and powerfull than the Mont Blanc. Our thankfulness once again Laurent. Spanish Familiy.
If I could give it 0 stars I would.
We were supposed to be staying 6/6/18 to 13/6/18.We arrived at our accommodation at 20.30 and continued to read a sign on the front door which told us that reception closed at 20.00 and that we had to ring an international number, which we have now been charged for on our phone contracts, in order to check in late. I proceeded to make the phone call to which a Spanish man answered the phone and proceeded to tell us quite quickly that he would be 10 minutes. Once the man had arrived he did not speak very good English and his customer service was appalling as he spoke about 5 words to us, which included, ‘deposit’, ‘your room’, and ‘thank you’. We then payed a hefty deposit of £120 (which I was aware of) and £13 for linen and Spanish tax. The man led us out of the Blavamar Apartment block, which is the accommodation that we booked, and took us next door to an even more unsafe looking building. We then had to carry two 23kg bags up a winding spiral staircase, luckily we were not on the sixth floor and only on the second, as there was no elevator in the elevator shaft. As we walked into the room we had to wait for the light switch, which was at the end of the corridor to turn the lights on and see where we were going. Whilst opening the door to the room we were greeted with the smell of burning and cigarettes, to which both my partner and me were disgusted by. The door also did not close properly at the bottom and was difficult to lock once in the apartment. We went to open the windows and realised that our apartment did not have a Juliette balcony, which was advertised, and did not have a sea view, which was also advertised. Instead we have a view of a run down building with a collapsing roof. We proceeded to take our suitcases into the bedroom where we did not feel comfortable taking our belongings out of the suitcase, due to feeling unsafe in the apartment and considering how unclean the apartment was. There were stains on the mattress and marks all over the walls. We were provided with a chair in the bedroom which was covered in stains, as were the four dining room chairs that were provided in the main room of the apartment. We were only provided with 2 body towels and no hand towels. The bathroom also came with no soap and dirt in the grit of the tiles. Our room was equipped with an uncovered boiler, and the cleaning cupboard with tools and chemicals was open ajar, which could have easily been accessed by a child. Our kitchen was still dirty and was not stocked appropriately. The microwave that was provided had pieces of food in the microwave and had a hole in the microwave door, which is very unsafe. The oven hood that was in the room was covered in dirt and grime and the utensils were put away dirty. On the first evening of the 6th of June when we got there we walked out of our apartment and booked a room at accommodation down the street. I would avoid this accommodation completely. Awful customer service and awful accommodation.
Avoid Blavamar at all costs
Where do I start?? We arrived early hours of the morning to a sleepy uninterested receptionist. Upon check in we were charged €160 for a deposit, late check in, local tax and for bed linen and towels. We were sent to a 3rd floor apartment which was next door to the main apartment block, up 3 flights of steep steps. I was traveling with my partner and our 3 children so the location was not ideal. We immediately asked to be moved to a lower floor as the windows in the apartment are large swing windows and we have young children. We were eventually moved to the 2nd floor as it was the only room available, this is where the fun started.... The new apartment was filthy. There was broken glass all over the floor and it had not been cleaned at all. The bathroom had streaks all over the tiles and the toilet smelled of urine. Me and my partner had to clean the apartment before we settled in. There is no pool or restaurant that was advertised when I booked the holiday. There is hot water in the bathroom but it will only last long enough for one person - there was 5 of us. We had to take turns on who was having the hot shower that day. The shower heads don’t fit in the riser properly so you have to hold it when you are showering. Unless you are an octopus this proves quite difficult. The apartments need updating and cleaning properly, they are run down and dated to say the least. Blavamar have a few apartment buildings. One of them has a pool and a restaurant, we were offered to move to this apartment block after a number of complaints but declined due to location and the state of the facilities. Upon check out we were informed that we had to pay a further €15 for somebody to check us out as it was 6am. We were part of a group and we had to pay €15 each apartment to check out. The beach is just over the road. It is stone and not sand but is probably a more comfortable sleep than the beds in blavamar! Lloret itself is beautiful and well worth a visit. I would just avoid Blavamar like the plague!
Poor holiday
I recently stayed here with a few of my friends, upon arrival we had to pay a hefty deposit as we were aged under 25 which once added to the cost of towels and bedding came to a large amount for our budget holiday. Service at the reception was great and they offered us excellent advise on places to eat and drink. It is also located on a very accessible place whether you're looking for a beach day or something more adventourus. However there were some downsides to our stay. Our apartment although clean was covered in damp and also had no air con. One night of our stay we were verbally abused by a staff member who was clearly reading for trouble for being 25 minutes over the noise curfew which we had not been informed about as we had late check in and didn't have time to read the documents. This was very intimidating as we had not been approached beforehand to ask us to stop playing music nicely and seemed to come out of nowhere.
