Hotel Riva Sport & Wellness

A great place to stay near Ponte di Legno. Lovely design, great room, superb breakfast and a jacuzzi/sauna place downstairs thrown in. Room for bikes, skis and all the equipment you may need for an active weekend. Clean, recently renovated with very good taste: simple,fresh & comfy. Welcoming owners who inherited the place from grandmother and brought it to a totally new level. It's something new, a new concept: an activity hotel. Complimenti!

This is a little hidden gem 5 kilometres from Ponte di Legno. The hotel is situated in Vione, 1.2km up the hill from the main road (and the public bus stop). The closest lifts are in Temu', around 2 km from the hotel. This hotel has just opened in November 2016 after a complete renovation. Everything is new, stylish, made in a nice modern mountain style, lots of attention to details, clean and cosy. Rooms are equipped in a rather basic way (mine had a double bed, a rack for clothes, a couple of chairs, a TV and a tea set), but again - all you need is there. The bathroom was of the adequate size, with basic toiletries (shampoo/shower gel), a well functioning hairdryer, and soft white towels. Room/water temperature was good. The little wellness centre downstairs is a highlight - it only has a sauna and a Jacuzzi (a very good one, by the way), in addition to 5 long chairs, but it is very cosy and nice. There are windows with the views to a little terrace and it's just great for relaxation. For such a small hotel a wellness area is a real treat! Another great thing - excellent quality tea/tisane in the wellness. Breakfasts were also very good - I was surprised to be asked at arrival what I would like and I got it (plain white yoghurt)! In addition there were fresh (excellent!) brioches, meat and cheese cuts, some pies, fruit etc. The atmosphere at breakfast with the fireplace on is close to magical. Coffee/tea (again - excellent quality, not the supermarket liptons) comes from the bar and not the "chemical producing" machine, like in so many other hotels. The only thing I missed at breakfast - dark/full grain bread and some healthy/unsugared cereals, seeds, etc. BUT I did not ask for that :)! Generally, I loved the idea that the hotel is sports oriented - it even has a small fitness room. They start serving breakfast early, which is great for skiing/sport addicts. The ski deposit is big and spacious, has a heated ski boot holder. Finally, the family managing the hotel: they are great. They went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. Although it takes only 10-12 min to go up/down the hill to the shuttle bus stop, they kept offering me lifts, which I very much appreciated. On the last evening when my group left and I stayed alone at the hotel they went down and picked me a pizza from the restaurant on the main road. By the way, the hotel serves no dinner, but it has a bar and they make you a cheese/meat platter, which is great as well. I give it a rating of 4, because it's not a super chic hotel, a little bit far out for those without a car... otherwise it's really great, as I mentioned - the decoration, the wellness, the breakfast+bar and the Riva family are 5 stars. Highly recommended!

Abbiamo appena trascorso il fine settimana di Ferragosto con la nostra neonata in questo hotel. L’hotel è a gestione familiare e sono tutti molto gentili e disponibili. L’ambiente è molto curato, in stile montanaro ma con un tocco moderno. Nonostante l’albergo sia in un piccolo borgo e non disponga di ristorante, ci sono ottimi ristoranti nelle vicinanze. La colazione è ottima: oltre a salumi, pane, yoghurt e fette biscottate, le torte fatte in casa sono superlative. Le camere sono pulite e graziose. Unica piccola pecca è che nelle camere l’arredamento è molto minimal, quindi non ci sono molte superfici di appoggio e si finisce per dover mettere gli oggetti per terra. Sarebbe utile aggiungere un tavolino, dei comodini più spaziosi e un armadietto in bagno per riporre gli effetti personali. Infine, l’hotel dispone di un grazioso terrazzino con vista e di una spa che non abbiamo avuto tempo di utilizzare. Consigliatissimo!

Hotel piccolo e curato con spa che fa sempre piacere dopo una giornata di sci. Camera singola minimal senza armadio ma porta abiti aperto. Letto comodo, stanza pulita, colazione ok, personale gentile e prezzo accattivante.

Sono stata all'hotel Riva quasi per caso. Mi sono trovata benissimo perché mi è sembrato di essere a casa per come sono stata accolta. L'hotel è nuovo (oppure rinnovato a nuovo, direi), le stanze essenziali ma non manca nulla e la colazione abbondante e di altissima qualità, comprese torte fatte in casa e bomboloni freschissimi e caldi alla crema. Non ho visito il centro wellness ma è una vera chicca da queste parti...Lo consiglio vivamente a tutti
