This hotel is maintained to exceptionally high standards .Immaculately clean with occasional surprises of pleasing artwork in the public areas . I enjoyed a large spacious room with an exceptionally comfortable bed . I was heartened to see the inclusion of both a spacious walk in shower and bath in the en-suite .A fabulous bonus for those of us who benefit form relaxing baths as well as showers The bath tap fitting s incorporated a very effectual slimline power shower attachment . Not withstanding some industrial units …the view from my room had charming views of the countryside in the backdrop . A wholesome breakfast in very relaxing surrounds with comfortable seating . The club lounge enjoyed great views .There was limited stock of drinks mainly cokes and sparkling water a little disappointing as I do prefer fruit juice ! I wasn’t there to enjoy the early evening canapés ,that’s available to lounge access guests at 17:30. On the evening of my arrival I enjoyed an exquisite Nasi goreng with slithers of ginger fresh wholesome vegetables and aromatic rice . My thanks to the chef . The staff were mainly Courteous and friendly although especially cially Madeline ,the front reception supervisor manager . Madeline ensured that I felt welcomed with warm friendly smiles and excellent eye contact . On check out after a brief conversation ,where I articulated a travel dilemma that I had , Madeline reassured me that any future accommodation plans that I had ,she would be delighted to assist me with and even put me through to the in-house reservation team who provided appropriate responses to my enquiry Always smiling energetically,Madeline added a warm positivity to the reception team with her presence. Committed to exceeding her guests expectations ,I noticed that Madeline gave each guest she interacted with her undivided attention. Indeed ,Madeline is a Fabulous and valuable asset to the Crown Plaza brand .

Booked into a one bedroom suite about 2 hours ago. For some reason, the living room sofa was made up into a bed, even though I am a solo traveler, and according the furniture pushed around the edge of the room, with of course no space to now walk, ever mind sit down in what was supposed to be a sitting room. Then I tried to use the TV. The remote did not work at all, the battery clearly run out, although at one stage it did communicate but as if a button was stuck. Tried to find the remote for the other TV in the bedroom, it that was missing, nowhere to be found. Then heard a weird high pitched electrical whining sound in the living room. Thought I can’t sleep through this all night whatever it was, mores it was highly irritating. Spent about 10 minutes looking for the source. Eventually turned off the main light switch and the whine stopped. Clearly an electrical fault of some kind. Some of the lights are clearly broken as not coming on. A bit concerned now that I’m in a room with an electrical fault. Anyway, I needed a drink now and scanned the bar code for room service. Eventually room service answered the phone and I ordered a bottle of Rioja for what the menu showed to be a pricey £39.70. Then I was informed that the price was actually close on £60, all the prices were wrong on the menu because the menu was “old”. I’ve now waited close on 45 minutes for someone to come and sort out the remote control situation for the TV’s as a sit here with nothing to watch or do other than write this review, and for someone to come and check the electrics situation. I’ve never stayed in such a garbage establishment.

Lovely stay here, service was friendly, breakfast had a nice selection to choose from and rooms were very comfortable. Bed was really comfortable and shower was nice and powerful, the lounge was a really nice addition and would definitely return next time flying from Heathrow

Outstanding service, especially from Sandra at the Urban Brassarie restaurant. The food is lovely, fast and friendly service from all the staff, will definitely be returning when we are around Heathrow.

Poor Hospitality

Stayed at the property during 23-24 of August. The front desk was not friendly. The IHG status was not recognized. The front desk did not ask for the welcome gift option. The room and breakfast was ok. Took time until receive the IHG points, which I need to e-mail them that the points and night has not been added to my account. Currently still waiting for the extra points that I suppose to receive
