Bad points - After coming in and being poorly greeted, we were told we were in the basement!! And literally we were although very large the condition was poor to say the least, it smelt of damp and clearly had it, sofa was ripped and torn, there was paint everywhere except the walls, our bed was two singles pushed together but that’s not to bad, There were no plugs for the bath and no shower for anyone over 4 foot 5 inches tall. Some plug sockets don’t work. Again the bathroom was painted but poorly done so paint everywhere. Our bed was right below the path outside so you could hear every single person walking by. Ow and to top it off someone put a plate of mouldy food in the cupboard!!! Good point - the t,v worked, My honest opinion I’d spend the extra £50and stay in the hotel opposite!!! And FYI no offer of compensation.

We drove our car to London and parked up at Paddington Station and then walked to the apartments. It took about 10 mins. We arrived around 3pm and as we approached the entrance, a woman exited. She saw us and seemed to be a little annoyed and went back in and let us in and we were greeted with a sigh and ‘yes?’. We found this quite rude as a welcome. Thankfully because we were only there for one night, we didn’t need to speak with staff again. The apartment is good to stay in if you’re planning to explore London and just need a place to sleep. In saying that, the windows are not double glazed and so it’s quite noisy during the night. You can also hear every creak from the room above and next to you. The location is fantastic and Hyde Park, Oxford Street, Knightsbridge are all within walking distance. There’s plenty of places to eat around there-the cafe in which we had breakfast was a nice walk and a nice breakfast itself. Might have been better to have a choice of breakfast than a set breakfast.
Fab location for Hyde Park

We stayed here when I was doing the Royal Parks Half Marathon because of the location, and the fact that it only cost about £100 for the night, which is dirt cheap for that part of London on a Saturday night! Check in was quick and we were given a room on the ground floor, immediately opposite reception so I didn't see any more of the building. The room was pretty basic, cream walls and very little by way of decoration but considering we just wanted somewhere cheap to crash for the night, we were fine with it. There was a fridge, kettle, microwave and sink in the corner, but only a very limited amount of crockery and cutlery. Other than the bed, the only thing to sit on was a folding wooden chair. There was an inner door through to the bathroom and I think the bulb had gone because there was no light in the inner lobby but it wasn't a problem. The bathroom is tiny, sit on the loo and your knees are practically touching the wall. There was also a bit of mildew in the grouting around the shower. The bed was comfortable enough and as we were only staying for 1 night, we spent very little time there so the cost and the location were definitely the main plus points here. If I needed to be near Hyde Park, I'd certainly consider it again.
Ideal location for Hyde Park gigs

A stones throw away from Hyde Park. Amazing value for money considering the price ranges of other hotels in the area. Although basic the studio apartment we stayed in had everything we could have needed, including a comfortable bed (something we haven’t always found when staying in London!) It was clean, airy & included a small window balcony that gave a very Parisian feel! The staff made us very welcome & were accommodating even though we arrived earlier than check in. Alan especially was a lovely chap & ensured we had everything we needed. Would recommended & use again! Also the corner shop next to it was very handy for post gig water & snacks!

Nice wee hotel that does what it says on the tin. Bedroom was ample and nice and clean. Very cheap and worth the money. The staff were nice and always available. Brilliant location with tube station less than a minutes walk away.
