Not a happy camper
I wasn’t impressed with the hostel. The first thing that I encountered was that there were no elevators, each floor being two flights of stairs. I decided to take a room on the second floor to avoid climbing the many stairs. Unfortunately, it was just above the pub which meant no sleep until after 2:00am. Another area where they came short was that there were only 2 shower stalls, one toilet and one sink on each floor to be shared among 20 guests per floor. You had to time your bathroom breaks just right if you wanted to use any of these.
Amazing Receptionist
Me and my friend stayed in the hostel for a night. Everything was perfect but most of all the receptionist named LUIS. So kind and talkative person. Full of energy, trying to give his services to everyone at the same time and he was doing it fine!!! Also the blonde guy with the piercings truly kind, smiling all the time. U should be these 2 guys more!!!
Value for money, great location
Visited Dover Castle Hostel with 5 friends. Good value for the amount of money we spent. A bar beneath the hostel was a big plus for us. The Borough is a fun neighbourhood to stay in. Recommended for travelling students.
DO NOT GO HERE
WORST HOSTEL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! I was scammed out of money at this place, charged for nights I was NOT staying. My credit card was charged and I was told I would be receiving a refund after leaving this place because there was mice running through the rooms, old men sleeping in the beds while we are young female travelers, unclean bathrooms with blood all over the toilet seat. Nobody has returned my calls which leads me to wonder what type of establishment this place was. I am hoping somebody from the hostel sees this so they can see what type of service they are providing and I hope future visitors see this to stay CLEAR OF THE DOVER CASTLE HOSTEL
terrible hotel, uncomfortable beds
springs were popping out of the mattresses, Noisy till early morning due ti main road and bar downstairs. Shared toilets & showers. dont expect anything high for the breakfast. Cheap hostel means cheap facilities or no facilities.
