Stayed here for 2 nights, after staying in many other Malmaisons in the UK, so the expectation was this would be as good if not better, it wasn’t. Not much of a warm welcome and the room itself was small and noisy so didn’t get a great sleep. Went to go to the bar but the place was deserted, no atmosphere and also no staff on the bar so went out to a local place and had drinks and a meal. The next night came back to the hotel after being out all day to find the bar closed and there was also no food service and no room service - nothing, the bar was shut and no one around. Might as well have stayed at the Premier Inn. Won’t be going back I don’t think - poor, especially for the price paid here.
Room was lovely but service wasn't great

Having been to Mal Maison in Aberdeen before and thoroughly enjoyed it, I was expecting a top level experience (cocktails/dinner) in London. The room was lovely and well cleaned however the dinner options were really poor and been asked on arrival to wait a sec mate was poor. We waited five minutes then went to steak house nearby which was amazing. Breakfast was really good though and the staff in the morning were really friendly. I would look elsewhere next time I'm down unfortunately
An oasis of calm and style

Staying at the Malmaison is like having your own pied a terre in London. Charterhouse Square is just gorgeous and it was lovely to be able to stay there. Considering the location the price was very good value for money. The staff were very helpful - happy to change our room for one with a view of the square, arranging to hold our bags and organising an early check-in. The room was beautifully clean and the bathroom, although small, was spotless and well-appointed. The shower was a bit tricky to work-out but that probably says more about me than the hotel! We would definitely stay there again - hopefully for longer next time. We didn't have breakfast there but chose to eat nearby.

Matched what I expected for the room cost. Quirky hotel, comfortable and good breakfast. Was a bit surprised that there was no room service available at 4pm on a Monday afternoon but apart from that was happy. Would come back here for sure and recommend to people.
Beautifully situated hotel, very comfortable

Superb quiet location and really comfy bed. Windows you can open and delightful staff. Dreadful selection of reading material (I think probably meant to be ironic 70s !) and lack of drawers in the bedroom could be easily remedied, as there is plenty of room.
