This hotel has been created for curious minds. This delightfully original hotel is the ideal home from which to investigate the rest of the city. Comprised of four beautifully restored Georgian buildings, the hotel is inspired by Baker Street's most famous resident – Sherlock Holmes. It boasts an enviable location in London's Marylebone Village, surrounded by high-end fashion boutiques, cafés and restaurants. Nearby highlights include Regent's Park and The Wallace Collection, while Marylebone and Baker Street stations, just a few minutes' walk away and is well connected by Tube. Uncomfortable beds and breakfast was a shambles

No problem with location. Breakfast was a terrible experience as the man in charge was running/rushing round. Told us we could only have one item per section on the menu!! When breakfast arrived after a long wait, mine was missing the bacon. On my daughters plate was 1 mushroom with a tiny bit of streaky well done to a crisp bacon. I asked where the rest was and he said 'that's how it comes, not customer friendly at all. With him rushing round it made us feel very uncomfortable and could not wait to get away. He said as we were leaving that he would do better the day after. Appalling service and it was all his fault. With all this we decided that the hotel was a no no and left after 1 night instead of 2. I saw a lady at reception who was excellent and tried to offer us a bigger room, but it was the same hard beds and the bathroom was right by one of the beds! So we got a refund of more than 50% which I agreed to. And no I won't be going again.
Would stay again

Lovely characterful and comfortable hotel one or two minor niggles but overall fab. Online check in makes it so easy just means you can’t turn the lights on without your own card and the room was missing a few amenities. Also not sure they knew I was a reward member.
Our town-house room was perfect, with everything beautifully done

We stayed in the Holmes Hotel in November as a base for sightseeing and meeting some friends. The location of the hotel is excellent. It's next to Baker Street tube station. The check-in was smooth, efficient, and friendly. The reception area is lovely, as is the rest of the hotel. Our town-house room was perfect, with everything beautifully done. The room was spotlessly clean, and it was a pleasure to be there. All the hotel corridors have a classy Sherlock Holmes feel; well, it is next to Baker Street! Breakfast downstairs in the restaurant was perfect also. All the hotel staff were very welcoming. We would love to visit again. Highly Recommended

Early evening drinks with friends at the Holmes Hotel on Saturday 27th November. Kostas the manager and all the bar staff so attentive and pleasant. Exceptional levels of service. We are looking forward to returning very soon.
Nice stay in Marylebone

Generally I think that the hotel has a well trained staff. Particularly I would like to mention the lady at the reception who took care to get me a silent room and organized to get me a taxi on Saturday evening from Baker Street station. Also my room was always in good shape due to the caring person on 4th floor. Breakfast was organized a la carte (no buffet) which I appreciate very much. Quality of food was on a high level.
