Disappointing Anniversary Stay - Sadly Not 5 Stars…

My partner and I were excited to stay here considering it’s 5 stars and for our 2 year anniversary. However we were quite disappointed due to multiple reasons. When we went to check in we were told that the room wasn’t ready due to lack of staffing. Completely understandable however we weren’t given any time to when it would be ready and we had to ask when we arrived at 2:45 (which was the second time) how long it would take. We managed to get our room at 3:10pm. It took an hour and 10minutes. Once in our room we discovered the pillows we ordered on the “pillow menu” beforehand wasn’t correct. There was also no “room aroma” which we picked beforehand too. We had no bathrobes and there was dampness on the floor on the right side of the bed. The toilet kept dripping constantly and wouldn’t flush unless you pushed the flusher. We called the reception to inform them of the pillows, dampness and bathrobes. They corrected the pillows, apologised for the dampness and gave us bathrobes. They also kindly gave us Prosecco. Unfortunately the buffet breakfast was very disappointing too, the ‘hot food’ was cold. I had the hash brown and beans and couldn’t eat it because it was cold. The staff were talking very loudly in the lobby where breakfast is served and we didn’t feel very welcomed. We feel as though our complaints weren’t really listened too and I wouldn’t recommend staying somewhere classed as “5 star” where the service isn’t what as advertised.

Stayed for 30th birthday

We stayed here on the 17 th December for my partners 30 th birthday.It was our second stay here and everything was incredible.We where upgraded to the wow suite and it was out of This world really fabulous we had a bottle of Prosecco in our room also. All of the team at Montcalm are amazing so welcoming and make everything perfect Isabel especially she emailed me back straight away regarding our stay again And made sure they had availability etc she also included breakfast in our stay I would deffo recommend staying here location is also a massive winner.

I stayed at the Marble Arch hotel for work at a busy time during the holidays. Due to covid my flights and travel dates through Europe kept changing and my booking continually moving. My employer books thorough Expedia which is very difficult. Through a hard situation and little availability the staff at MAH went above and beyond to make my stay as easy and nice s it could be - extending and checking in with me as the situation changed. The front Officer manager Chiara was especially awesome making sure I was happy with my accommodation and staying in touch. They helped to make a hard situation as easy and nice as possible - so warm, positive and friendly. Thank you, I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone travelling for business or fun.

I had an incredible experience using the conference space for an event this weekend. It was my first time visiting The Amba but absolutely not the last. I am looking forward to hosting an event here and have no doubt it will be as good as my experience the first time. The staff were really attentive and the space was extremely luxurious.

Great service, wonderful environment and helpful staff. We had well organised reception, dinner and dance. The service was second to none. We had such a great evening and we have been coming to Amba hotel for many years and always satisfied. Hence the reason we come back every year. Highly recommend this hotel and their services. The location is close to all amenities in London and close to many tourist attractions.
